Ok...so I have to share. 12weeks ago I started a weight loss challenge up at our nutrition club in town. Tonight was our final weigh in for the event..I came in first place and collected $214.50 (yeah...now what to buy) Through the challenge I lost 10.489% of my weight and 21.25 inches. I have to thank this challenge in part of alot of it. The motivation of coming in daily here and checking in (and on our old walking thread) really kept me going...and it helped alot.

We start our next challenge next Tuesday...and I'm ready! My goal it to beat the numbers from this time around

That's awesome, Angie!!! Way to go!!!

Zachary got going on my game after I was finished--at least I hope that is what happened. All I know is that I heard screams of "OLAY!," and "TAKE THAT YOU NINJA!" coming from downstairs. Either he'd picked up the matador and sword/kickboxing games or he successfully defended our home from attack during my shower. LOL!

Day 2 done! I woke up at 4:40am and hopped right on my exercise bike while I watched the morning news. 20 minutes; 3.8 miles. So now I'm done for the day! Time to get the coffee brewing ;)

I've got mine in for today, too.

Walked just a tad under 4 miles in a little over an hour with my husband this morning.

Tuesday I walked for 35 minutes. Didn't get home from work until after 10 last night. That little walk was the only thing that saved my sanity. And it was a beautiful day!

Last year when we did this, I did mine first thing in the morning. I was good that way. Now we have workers in the house in the morning, so I am not about to scare them...LOL

I might try this early morning thing a few more days to see how it goes. Unfortunately, at that time of the morning, I'm limited to only my exercise bike. :exercisebike: I don't think the downstairs neighbor would appreciate me jumping around that early. Plus it's still too dark to go walking through the neighborhood by myself.

The only problem I'm noticing is when I exercise & sweat, the adrenaline rush that most people claim gives them a nice positive high, it has the reverse effect on me - I get agitated and angry. :grr: This is why I can't seem to stick with any exercise program - if something is too hard or difficult or uncomfortable, I get extremely angry at the TV and will usually end up throwing the remote across the room and turning the video off. It's a good thing I do my Jillian videos in the privacy of my apartment...you should hear all the names I call her! Geez, I have problems! :hit-head-with-hammer:

So after 20 minutes on the bike this morning, it put me in a bad mood and everything is annoying me. Not quite how I want to start off each work day...

Okay that is my rant & rave for today. There are people in the office now so I have to pretend to work.

Wowzers...my body really wasn't wanting to move this morning!!! I got in a 21 minute walk, it was pretty slow, but it is done. Think I will get some yoga in later, maybe that will help stretch things a bit. I think the little (VERY little) bit of jogging I did yesterday didn't agree so much with some of my joints....

Have an awesome day ladies!!

:hit-head-with-hammer: :hit-head-with-hammer: <-----this is your attitude adjustment....

Maybe your body will eventually get with it and you won't get so angry about it. ??? I don't like getting sweaty either...I'm kinda prissy that way! ;)

BUT YOU DID IT ANYWAY!!! WOOT!! :2468who-do-we-appreciate: :2468who-do-we-appreciate: :2468who-do-we-appreciate:

DD came in crying at 3am, then . . . my brain would not turn off, so I got up at 4:30, read, then ordered school books for the coming school year. By 6 I figured it was light enough to get out and get my walk/run in. I went 2 mi.

Now I am showered, dressed and ready to go back to bed, :going-to-sleep:, unfortunately kiddos are waking up. Hope I make it through the day.

I have one load of laundry left to fold and one left to wash and a dishwasher full of dishes to put away, but, my Boot Camp and ab workout are done for today! Dh did it with me and boy, were we sweaty! It's going to be another hot, beautiful day, so now I can enjoy it without worrying about getting my workout in!

Way to go Angie!! I wouldn't have to think twice, it would be clothes for me. I am so enjoying buying clothes three sizes smaller right now then what I had got to. I am not buying anymore though because I am still losing!!
I did Zumba for an hour today. So now I am showered and ready to go. I always feel so good after I recover that is. It really kicks my butt!!
That's really strange Tiza, I have never heard of anyone having quite those issues when exercising. With all the conditions and phobias out there, I am sure there's one for that. You can just blame it. lol

Karis, here are the rules:

The rules:

  • You must exercise each day of the 30 challenge (6 Days per week- we are taking Sunday off this round) for at least 20 minutes. Feel free to use any video you have on hand (Jillian's 30 Day Shred, Chalean, etc) or you can do any exercise you like, DVD, walk, bike ride, swim or gym.
  • You must check in to the check in thread each day to get checked off and your progress charted.
  • If you miss a day you can make it up on Sunday, you just have to let me know you did it so I can make sure your chart is correct.
  • Feel free to moan and groan..we all do..LOL

PS..it is a good idea to weigh and measure yourself before you start so you can see your own progress. There is no need to share this with the group, it's just for your own benefit. It is always encouraging to see progress.

I'm sure Brandy can squeeze you onto the chart! :)

At first I thought it was too late, but after reading down it sounds like I may still be able to join in. I can really use the commitment and encouragement right now. Regular exercise also always helps me deal with stress better and I could use some help with that lately. So if it's ok for me to still join in then I'll make up my missed day this Sunday and I'll start exercising today.

Congrats to all for your hard work so far! You're all motivating me!

I'll check in later and see if it was ok for me to join in late and post what exercise I've done.

Patsy, good job on the smaller clothes!! I enjoy shopping for clothes....when they fit! I can't wait to start seeing results (I didn't lose any weight or inches during the first 30-day shred), so I can start buying new clothes.

Wendee, I don't think we'll turn down anybody who wishes to torture themselves by willingly volunteer to exercise ;) Me, I got drafted LOL I'm sure Brandy can squeeze in one more line on her chart!

Isn't it awesome! I keep telling my husband clothes don't count cause that's something I will "need" ..... that's my way to convince him I don't have to spend my money on it. LOL I think I might be saving for a new camera lens, this will give me a good start. Unless of course I spend it between now and then
