Bobbie, how do you want it lined up, if not left, right, or centered?

I know what you want, but I don't know how to do it. I'll be watching to see if someone comes up with the answer.

I think what you are trying to do is to wrap the text around your box........is that it? And in Photoshop?

Ok, I was on my way back to tell you...........glad you figured it out.

Actually, Photoshop does not come with an "official" text wrap but it can be done the way you said. When I want to wrap text I take it into InDesign to do that........sorry I wasn't quicker. Trying to make breakfast and keep up at the same time! :)

Oh my goodness, what a great tip! I wonder if it works in PSE too?

Ah, yes, justified is just a keyboard stroke - I thought you must be trying to wrap text around an object..........sorry bout that - THAT I knew and could have told you and not caused such a delay in getting back to you! Glad you got it figured out though.

I can't imagine working without keyboard commands - if I had to use the menus all the time, I'd be forever working on a layout......thanks for posting this here, Bobbie.

That's odd, Bobbie. Most software has a left, right, center & a fourth justify button for both sides. I'm surprized PSE doesn't have it.

Thanks! That's called "fully justified" but I had no idea how to do it either. I'll add this one to my "tips" list! :)

I think the keyboard shortcut is the only way to fully justify text in PSE (at least the older versions, not sure about 9). In Photoshop, you can also access this by: choose the text tool. Up in the options bar up top, toward the right, there is a little icon that to me looks like a calculator. Hover over it and it will say something like "Toggle the character and paragraph palettes". Click it to open, then click on the paragraph tab. Up top are a series of icons to click for left justify, right justify, center, then options for fully justify: the different choices for it affect whether the last line, which is often shorter and cannot be fully justified, should be left, right, or centered.

Glad you found your answer. I have this shortcut written on my desktop permanently. I use it a lot. Sorry, I only saw this now. (Only just woke up. It's Monday morning here)
