Monday 8-8-11

Yay! I just spent 25 minutes with Wii Fit doing some of each: balance, yoga, strength and aerobics exercises. (I managed to Break a few records too. Woo Hoo!) :exercisebike:

Monday done! 30 minutes and 7 miles on the stationary bike. I upped the resistance one level higher than I used last month and am adding in some arm exercises at the same time.

My pastor (aka the boss!) called me while I was riding, and I talked to her and ended up going 5 minutes more than I'd planned.

Got mine done for the first day!! I went to Zumba for an hour and I had a personal victory. We have a dance that we do, it's the one of the hardest ever. At some point we hit the floor and do a burpie then we have to jump up then jump sideways four times then hit the floor again with another burpie then repeat the other way. I have never did the burpies before but choose to do a static squat instead. Well today I decided to go for it and was able to do 20 burpies during the coarse of the song!! woo hoo for me!!

oh Patsy, I had to laugh...a burpie.... in our house a burpie is...er... a burp, LOL!! so glad you managed to get them done, well done.
well done to everyone.

I managed a run with some stairs involved on sunday and yesterday, being monday down here, managed to get in a 25 minute walk. hoping for the same today. I try and squeeze it in between getting home from work and picking the kids up from school.

I have a feeling if I hit the floor I would just stay down there...good for you!!

9:15pm and I just got home from vacation. Whew it was a long day. I decided not to cheat and count walking around the airports as exercise, so I'm gonna go hop on my exercise bike and try to catch up on one of my many Tivo shows from the past week. Hmmm....what to watch first?? Project Runway? Food Network Star? The Glee Project? decisions, decisions....

Look at you girls go!! Just a FYI I will post the updated chart tomorrow AM. Since I'm more of a morning person, that gives everyone that's in different time zones to get theirs done. I'll then update it and post the day 1 results.

I did get another 1 1/2 miles in tonight while the boys were at football practice. Now i'm exhausted and i'm going to bed!

Checking in for Monday 8/8--I thought I'd have time before heading to band camp for the day to do my ChaLean workout, but I'd have to get up too early and I'm already getting up at 5:45. (Camp runs 7:45 AM to 9 PM.) Guess I'll start that next Monday.

However, I did put on a pedometer and walked 9,715 steps at camp. Many of those were done while pulling a wagon load of drink jugs (15-18 gallons of water/gatorade!), carrying tables, etc. My legs ache--it'll be a 2 Advil night!
