"Being bored with what we eat is the biggest reason people return to their old habits."
So if you find yourself in a rut eating the same things over and over again, try switching it up a bit and you'll be less likely to cheat!
I read that earlier today on the South Beach member support forums.

Other tricks I read earlier, especially if you are prone to sugar/carb cravings....
1) The earlier in the day you eat fruit (such as for breakfast), the more likely your body is to develop a craving for those sugars later in the day.
2) Eating fruit along with a protein source will help prevent a sugar-induced insulin spike that will trigger more food cravings. SO if you want to have fruit for breakfast, also have an egg, cottage cheese, or some vegetable juice with it to help balance it out.
3) Certain fruits/vegetables have a higher natural sugar content, so over-indulging in them will trigger cravings - these include watermelon, pineapple, dates, figs, white potatoes, beets, and corn.
So maybe you are eating the right healthy foods (vegetables, fruits, grains, dairy), but you need to switch up what time of day you have them to help your body regulate your blood sugar and your food cravings.
