Is there a way to put all your brushes in a folder in the brush picker bin so that they are there everytime I use them? Right now, I have to hit "load brush" everytime I want to use a brush that did not come with Elements. I want to have a folder labeles "ScrapGirls" (or whatever other site they came from) and load all my ScrapGirls brushes into it and have them right there when I need them so that I don't have to hit "load brushes". I want that folder to be in the drop down menu with "default brushes" and "wet media brushes", etc... Is this possible?

Is it also possible to do the same with textures in the texturizer? Have them in the same drop-down menu as "canva"s and "sandstone", etc.. all the time?

Those of you that know me, know that I keep saying that Adobe has been working to split PSE further and further away from Photoshop. This seems to be just one of the ways that they have done it.

I have just checked it out and in PSE 2, you can load up additional brush sets and have them sitting all there together, as you wish to do. This is a functionality that exists in Photoshop as well. However, they have taken this away from PSE 4 users (perhaps, PSE 3, too... I'm not sure because I don't currently have that version installed).

In PS and PSE 2, the Load Brushes command means that you will load additional brushes into your palette. They have an additional command - Replace Brushes - that swaps the current brush set out with another one. However, in PSE 4, the Replace Brushes command is gone. Instead, you just have the Load Brushes command and this swaps out the sets.

The Textures problem is the same for everyone. No one can load up and save in their set additional textures. You have to browse to your texture file and then load it up that way. PS, PSE - it's all the same.

I may not understand what you mean especially after I read Ro`s answer, but when I load a brush after I have either created it or bought it from scrapgirls I never have to reload it when I want to use it and I have PSE 4.

If you have multiple brush sets that you have installed from the ABR files and you load them in and out, they swap the sets out. But if you just add a new brush or two by defining them from a PNG, then they do save in your current set and you do see them. If you never actually use the Load Brushes command, you won't see this happen to you.

In PSE4, do the following to have your brush sets show up without having to reload them every time:

Find the ABR files and copy them into:

C:\Program Files\Adobe\Photoshop Elements 4.0\Presets\Brushes

I did have them in that folder, but I think my desktop computer is screwy for some reason. I don't have as many problems on my laptop. I ended up using the preset manager to rearrange things and it seems to be working out.
