I expect I will always be a day behind on the chart, as I'm a couple of hours behind you, and generally work out after dinner.
That's great news, Tiza! You will have so much fun getting in shape!
I know it's a bit of a change. Angie is much more of a morning person than I

Today I got my confirmation email for the Taiko class. In the email it says:
"You won't need to bring anything to the first class -- just wear clothing which provides free movement and that you don't mind sweating in. A lot. Especially the first few weeks. Be prepared to hit, bounce, stretch, walk, and jump a whole lot, so dress appropriately."

Gosh kiddo - where DO you get these adorable little themed guys?
I'll be anxious to hear how you like this class. Our local rec center is offering a class called "Drums Alive" which looks to be the same as this only they are using drum sticks on stability balls. It is offered during my work hours, unfortunately. But I'm still interested !!

I found these little guys from http://smileys.on-my-web.com/
The class you mentioned sounds much more exercise-oriented that mine. Drumming on stability balls would be interesting, because each hit would bounce back at you, so you'd have to work those muscles. I bet that would be a great upper-body workout.

I'd like to try Tai Chi. Some of my TurboJam workouts have part of it as a cooldown, but only for a couple minutes.

I've taken a Tai Chi class and really enjoyed it. It was geared to those over 50 so it probably was a bit milder than a regular class. I have a DVD and I've only been able to make it through the warm up! I'm going to have to dig that DVD out and give it a try again.

2) Monday--fail. I started back to work for real this week and yesterday was overwhelming because...
3) marching band kicked in this past weekend, adding to the cross-country meets we've been attending. We left the house at 6:30 AM Saturday and got home at 2 AM Sunday, then got up early for church, napped after lunch and then returned for a youth rally/bonfire. And...
4) on Friday we hosted the CC team pasta party.
So basically my house was a mess, there were no groceries in the house or clean white clothes (if you know what I mean.) Exercising just didn't happen. I'll make it up on Sunday....
5) Way to go, Brandy!!
6) Whoever was looking for ChaLean, you have to order it online.

I've never done TaiChi ... can you do it just from the dvd or do you recommend taking the class ... are there moves to learn??

Great Job, Lei! I'm impressed that you did all that walking then go home and do MORE! I am seriously a slacker.
You crack me up about Tom eating cereal for dinner.

I cut him some slack. I forgot I had left over garlic lime chicken from the other day and I had stir fry veggies in the freezer so I baked him a potato (too lazy to cook rice!) and stir fried the veggies and chicken. I also had some chick and veg instead of the carb cereal. AND got my weights done ... I feel fab!!

We did a lot packing up and such today, but not enough I care to count it. However, after our 5 hours of driving home and unpacking stuff I'm kind of tired and I just want to go to bed. I'm going to water aerobics tomorrow am and will make up today another day this week. Sorry, for the slacking I'm just beat. I'll have to catch up on my reading tomorrow. I'm sure everyone is doing awesome!

Wife to my sweetheart for 13 wonderful years. Mother to three darling children, two girls and a boy.
