See if your local taiko group offers any beginners classes as a way to try it out. If so, I would highly recommend it. Not only for the physical aspect, but also for the mental aspect as well. It's very powerful and invigorating and good stress relief. I think it will be good for me.
I woke up with lots of aches and pains this morning - mainly my thighs, back, and forearms. All my Turbo time with Chalene did not prepare me for this.

I think I was counting you saying 2 separate workouts on the field from Saturday. If I see someone say 2 different workouts in one day, I apply it to a blank day (in your case Sunday was the only blank, lol). I'll remove it if you like:)
Similarly, Jo walked on Sunday and Monday...I put her Sunday workout on one of her blank days from last week.

Good for you! That week is a TOUGHIE; I think a lot of us liked week 3 better. LOTS and LOTS of plank moves in week 2 if I remember correctly.

I am assuming this was not in the brochure??? LOL
Sheri that pose is crazy! You go girl.
Amy, thought would have been tough to power walk without your dinner! Good for you.

You would be correct. I was warned about the sweating - not about the soreness!

I missed walking with my church friends this am because I was helping Belle study for a spanish test. After she went to school, I hit the lakes for my walk. 5 minutes into it my knees and my shins were Killing me!!!! I almost said forget it and go home, but I didn't. I slowed down a little bit, and pushed through! After a while I called my mom and talked and walked while on the phone, and next thing you know, I walked a full hour!!! Mom kept telling me I sounded funny being out of breath while we talked! But there were no distractions from our conversation other than that - no kids interupting, no "honey this or honey that" from Mark. So I killed the proverbial two birds with one stone! LOL! Don't say that too loud or I"ll get in trouble. Hah.
So, mark me down for Monday, done! One hour power walking.

I actually had a blank on the very first day, so the double took care of the first Monday and Saturday. I can't imagine how hard it is to keep all of us straight!!
Monday 9/19 done. Moved on to the lean month and did Lean Circuit 1. What have I done?? My biceps are still shaking! I hope I can fix dinner!!

It's a little tough, I'll admit! New found respect for Angie and Brandy and Tiza keeping it straight before me! Ok, I'll remove your Sunday marker.
Oooof, Lean Circuit 1: I remember that one "fondly"

Are you overachieving Angie? Isn't Ab Burner first? That might be a good reason why you HATED the Extreme Abs...(I hated that one when I started it too!)
Burn Intervals was always my fav CE workout. I'll still pull it out from time to time; I still like it.

Cheri, You Go Girl!!! You might be sore.. he he. That's part of the fun right? (firing up new muscles, etc.) It was fun wasn't it? I think Chest and Back is probably my favorite DVD. That's a LOT of push ups and pull ups!
Thanks Brandy & Tiza, did you know Cheri can do Crane too? We have an exceptionally talented group here!
Tiza, I definitely want to check out the Taiko drumming!
Awesome Kim and Angie, I've got to try ChaLEAN!! It sounds intense!

Ahhh, please tell me Lean 2 & 3 is better...! I did get supper made. We eat out enough on our busy Saturdays so I'll save my calories for then. But I did have to grab a string cheese to hold me over. That lifting makes me hungry!

LOL...totally on accident. I had Ab Burner on my tracking sheet. When I went to get the CD out I saw both Burner and Extreme on there, so I went in to double check which one I was suppose to do. Now I don't know what I was looking at, but I saw Extreme..so that's what I did. Only when I went to look at it again did I see it was Burner. But I still don't think i'll like Extreme anymore when I finally get there..LOL

Yep...I rode a full hour!! I was so focused on the TV (or texting with Conda or talking on the phone with Pat), the time went by quickly. During the show, I rode at a medium tension, keeping pace with the music. During commercials, I went slower but at a high tension. I also wore my 2-lb wrist weights, so I could move my arms to the music, do arm circles, do weight lifts, etc.

Sheri, thanks for the picture of the crane pose. That is totally not the Karate Kid Crane Kick I was thinking of. I remember all of us kids were doing it at the bus stop when that movie came out. lol good times.

Wife to my sweetheart for 13 wonderful years. Mother to three darling children, two girls and a boy.
