All right, chalk this one up in the 'dumb question of the day' category, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out.

If an Embellishment set that is available for purchase also has a Collection that goes with it, does it mean the embellishments are part of the collection, or they coordinate with the collection? I don't want to buy the same things twice by getting both the Collection and the Embellishments (and papers, etc.), but I also don't want to miss out on anything that might coordinate with what I already have.

Also, is there a difference between a 'Biggie' and a 'Mini', for example, other than the obvious - one's 'bigger' than the other?

Thanks for humoring a newbie!

If you look on page 1 of the "What's New" section right now, you'll see the Handy Dandy Collection Biggie and the Handy Dandy Embellishment Biggie. I didn't see any terminology in the explanation of the Embellishment Biggie that says it's included in the Collection Biggie, but it is. If you're in doubt, use the search feature in the boutique...say you're looking at the "Handy Dandy Embellishment Biggie" and you don't already know there is a collection biggie of the same name. Type in "Handy Dandy" with the quotation marks and the capital letters in the search box, and it will come up with the Collection Biggie and anything else with the same name (in this case there is a Paper Biggie too, also included in the Collection Biggie).

Homebody Clusters Digital Scrapbooking Embellishment Mini clearly states that it "coordinates" with the Homebody Collection Biggie...so then you know for SURE that even if you have the Homebody Collection, you're not buying the same thing twice.

A Collection Biggie includes 16 backgrounds, one alpha set, two pages of word art, and three pages of coordinating embellishments.

A Collection Mini includes six backgrounds, one page of wordart, and one page of coordinating embellishments.

You can find more information on the different kits and their sizes here in the University: Digital Scrapbooking Kits HTH

If you ever need to contact Angie, eg. if you buy the same thing twice (don't worry, it happens to more of us than you think;), just email hello@scrapgirls.com

Ack! I've been busted by Cheri!
lol Just kidding, Cheri. :)

I think I'll figure out what wording would work best on the embellies pages so that it is clear that they are the same as what you get in the full collection.

Right now, under the image of the full collection, it says, "Also Available: Handy Dandy Collection Biggie(Sold Separately)"

How about: Also available as part of Handy Dandy Collection Biggie?

How does that sound?

Elizabeth, we offer parts of the collections as their own purchase because some people just want the paper or just the embellies, etc.
Me? I always want the whole thing! lol

The embellishment biggie will have 3 sheets of embellishments. The mini will just have 1 sheet. Then there's the in between set that has 2 sheets. lol Like Sandbox Fun Embellishments . It doesn't say biggie or mini. And when I decide on the wording under the full collection image, I'll change that, too. lol

(And it's not a silly question.)

Thanks for the help, everyone! This thread has been tremendously helpful. I'm so glad I asked.

And Charlene, yes, I think the "Also available as part of Handy Dandy Collection Biggie" wording would go a long way toward clearing things up. As it is, I just assumed there was more for me to buy! I guess I'm greedy that way. I want everything I can get my hands on. Posted Image

You're too funny.
lol
You made me giggle.

I'm yawning so much right now, I might go in and change the wording tomorrow. Or it might bug me to death so I go ahead and do it tonight. lol

:newangel:
Hmmmm...that angel seems to have a little devil, too. lol
:angelincloud:
Is that better? lol

Actually, I'm glad this thread came up. I had been wondering about the phrase I had under the collection image. This gave me the push to figure out a different phrase.
:thanks:
