Monday, Oct 17. 15 minutes elliptical (really kicked my behind. I burned more calories than I usually do with 25 minutes on the treadmill!). Then 40 minutes of weights and floor exercises.

Feels good!

Chest, Shoulders and Triceps done - about 54 minutes. I'll do Ab Ripper X later this afternoon/evening. Too much to do all at once physically and time-wise! I know I can do better on the ab moves if I'm fresher anyway.
We're off to a great start! I'm happily filling in buttons for those of us who are done for today:)

Monday done--Lean Circuit 1. I took two weeks off of this and it is kicking me in the tush! I plan to do the elliptical during my DD's swim practice tonight. If I do, I'll bank it for later...

Of course my legs are killing me now...and my bike is really not the type for this type of riding. It's more of a cruiser bike, and I really need a good one for that location. But I made it..yeah!!

Monday is DONE! I went on a brisk 20 minute walk this morning. I wasn't feeling so well when I went to bed last night with a cough which caused my chest to hurt. Didn't think huffing and puffing on my bike in the cool morning air was the best idea. *sigh*

Ooo! Ooo, I do, Gayle. When I had foot surgery, I was on crutches for six weeks. Crutches and I didn't get along very well so I spent a lot of time in my recliner. I was concerned about putting on weight so I got a couple of "chair aerobics" DVDs (or they might have been video tapes.) They were really good work outs. I actually was able to lose some weight during my convalescence both from the exercise and the fact that I wasn't getting up to get snacks all the time. :) I think the person's name was Jodi Stolove but I just searched on Amazon and there are quite a few different ones available. Search on "Seated aerobics", "chair aerobics", "chair dancing" or her name. I think the ones I have are the chair dancing ones but I couldn't put my hands on them just now.

Why kind of surgery are you going to have?


Thank you, Pat! And I have time to track one down, too. I'm having repairs done to a "failed" (the surgeon's words) bunion repair performed by an Army Ortho resident 20+ years ago. Interesting after all these years to find out how badly he botched it.

I didnt do anything today either. The ankle I twisted this morning is still sore when I walk on it, so I didn't want to attempt anything cardio.

early morning....10 minutes Project You. late morning 20 minute walk with Gayle (photo to follow soon), tonight 20 minutes Qi Gung flow. And....drumroll please.....I am 278 calories under my limit today. Its good to be back on track and I'm so enjoying reading what everyone is doing.

FFood-wise, I did pretty well. Exercise consisted of walking my dog around 2 blocks -- but we went really slow paced. I think in order to get more benefit : I will take my Skippy on 2 walks. One fast paced (Skippy could use a little exercise too ) & another leisurely walk - because Skippy enjoys his time sniffing. :)

Well here it is, after midnight and I'm up (after going to bed at 9:30 pm!!) coughing my head off. I'm glad for the results of coughing, clearing things out, but it does not feel good and I'm TIRED! I did not get in the walks I hoped to for Monday so I'll have to make up the difference this Sunday. I'm heading back to bed here soon and hoping I'll feel better enough in the morning so I can get some exercise done for Tues. Oh, I did do well with eating choices today!!

Well, I was up at 3:30 am and I sat for a long time - finally figured I may as well get my bike ride in.........groan......it was a real struggle this morning, but I did 25 minutes.

Dental appointment this morning and busy day ahead so that may very well be all I get in today.
