Conda, oh my goodness I know how you feel! There is only one tv here too so I really have to plan ahead and ask for a good time to fit in my workout. I have a small window so I have to take it when it's available. Sometimes it's very unfortunate because I'm STARVING or have just eaten so I just can't do it at that time. Having people watch you can be really awkward but after doing it a few times you are just like, "oh well!" and you just do what needs to be done. I used to be soooo self-conscious about working out I would only do it when no one else was around. Now I'm doing Ohms and I sound like a weirdo (Cheri, ha ha!) and balancing on my shoulders with my feet in the air when people are visiting the house wondering what this strange girl is doing, and making funny workout noises (grunts, yelps, panting, crying, screaming through gritted teeth) and I just don't care who hears or sees.
Cheri, lol!!! I can SO relate!!! (read above message to Conda)
Tiza, don't give up!!!! We all go through slumps. Push through and it will get better. Some weeks we absolutely kill our previous records and others we feel tired, unmotivated and ready to just dump it all for the easy way. You will be SO GLAD that you didn't give up. I promise you!!! Do what you can right now but don't give up. It's going to get better and you will find your motivation again.
Back into your jeans, you did it Sara!!!! Congratulations!! You are an inspiration!
Ok, now onto today's workout (Monday.) Chest, Back & Tri's and Ab Ripper and I killed it!! I had so much energy and I just pushed hard. It is my last week of P90X (I still have recovery week after this) but I am determined to break all my records and do the absolute best ever. Today was a shining example of that. I plan to continue pushing through the pain all week and making this the best week ever!

About halfway home I was tired and didn't want to go any further. But I had nobody to come pick me up, so I had to keep walking.

ROTFL!
Good for you for pushing hard past your boundaries - you are really "bringing it" as Tony would say:)
I'm done for Monday too. This is my week 9, and I'm back on Chest and Back which I haven't done since week 3 (when we were last supposed to in the program). It was amazing how many more pushups I could do - yeah! Pullups, a couple more, but pushups were good.

Lol - I suppose I shouldn't point out cell phones and taxis, right?
Good for you Tiza!! I wonder if part of your "boredom" with the programs is just needing a change more often that the average person. Maybe one day you should do Turbo Jam, then a walk, then taiko, then pull out an old something-or-other DVD, then something different yet again. If you haven't purchased ChaLean Extreme by the next get-together, have one of us bring it and either borrow it or do one workout at the hotel for a try-before-you-buy. I KNOW you can do it physically, it's just whether it ends up being what you want to do.
*hugs*

The encouragement here is so inspiring - I know I don't do all of the workouts that some of you do, but sometimes after just 10 minutes on my bike, I am so ready to stop - I ride while watching the early morning news on tv and I just try and get through that first half hour of news - sometimes it's a real struggle but if I just get interested in what I'm watching, it keeps me going.
Walking, I just make little short goals - like just one more block, ten more telephone poles, and it motivates me to keep going - suddenly, I've walked much further than I anticipated - if that helps anyone with their motivation...

I know about cell phones & taxis, but it seemed crazy to call someone when I was only about 15 minutes from home. My parents would just laugh and hang up on me.
And yes, I do get bored quickly with any program. I'll be all gung-ho for about a month, then my enthusiasm drops off. I thought about pulling out some of my other tapes, but my laziness usually wins and Noelle isn't a good workout buddy.

You can do ANYTHING you put your mind to. Stop telling yourself "I can't," and start saying, "I CAN!!"
