I did a walk on Sat (11/12)... was beautiful here - then we got busy hauling more stuff to the barn and rearranging the garage so now we have both cars as well as the plane body parked in there with one wing suspended from the rafters and one on the work bench for skeleton work to be done. Whew!! Nice to have the garage insulated now! I did not work out/walk on Sunday. This morning, Monday 11/14 I did 60 minutes of water aerobics.

Monday done...it didn't make me break a sweat, but I did walk up town and back (about a mile round trip) it's a start!

Yay, it's a good start back into your routine! I'm glad to hear you're doing well. And hooray to all your boys (grownup too, lol) for taking good care of you over the weekend:)

I didn't get my bike ride in until this afternoon - felt really different doing it at the end of the day when I was tired but I did it - 30 minutes on the bike so today is DONE! I'll get plenty more exercise tonight taking care of my dh - he's had me running here and there all afternoon -

I have to say that I am soooo motivated - much more than I was before I realized I had lost several pounds - might be time to rethink my old rule of never weighing myself - it was a huge help to really know that I was seeing some pounds lost and not just inches - and loving being back in my favorite jeans!

Thanks, Scrap Girl Shredder Friends for the encouragement and for helping motivate me in the right direction!

Good job Amy!! That is true, just do as much as you can. Even if it's only 10 minutes. That's how I get myself to work out when I really don't want to. I just say to myself, "ok, you can stop if after 15 minutes you still don't feel like doing it. Then at least you've done something and tried." Well, I have never actually ended up stopping at 15 minutes! It works so well. Once you get the Adrenalin pumping it's so much easier to keep going! We all go through slumps and the important thing is to push through and do something. You are doing an excellent job!

Conda, oh my goodness I know how you feel! There is only one tv here too so I really have to plan ahead and ask for a good time to fit in my workout. I have a small window so I have to take it when it's available. Sometimes it's very unfortunate because I'm STARVING or have just eaten so I just can't do it at that time. Having people watch you can be really awkward but after doing it a few times you are just like, "oh well!" and you just do what needs to be done. I used to be soooo self-conscious about working out I would only do it when no one else was around. Now I'm doing Ohms and I sound like a weirdo (Cheri, ha ha!) and balancing on my shoulders with my feet in the air when people are visiting the house wondering what this strange girl is doing, and making funny workout noises (grunts, yelps, panting, crying, screaming through gritted teeth) and I just don't care who hears or sees.

Cheri, lol!!! I can SO relate!!! (read above message to Conda)

Tiza, don't give up!!!! We all go through slumps. Push through and it will get better. Some weeks we absolutely kill our previous records and others we feel tired, unmotivated and ready to just dump it all for the easy way. You will be SO GLAD that you didn't give up. I promise you!!! Do what you can right now but don't give up. It's going to get better and you will find your motivation again.

Back into your jeans, you did it Sara!!!! Congratulations!! You are an inspiration!

Ok, now onto today's workout (Monday.) Chest, Back & Tri's and Ab Ripper and I killed it!! I had so much energy and I just pushed hard. It is my last week of P90X (I still have recovery week after this) but I am determined to break all my records and do the absolute best ever. Today was a shining example of that. I plan to continue pushing through the pain all week and making this the best week ever!

About halfway home I was tired and didn't want to go any further. But I had nobody to come pick me up, so I had to keep walking.

Sometimes when I don't want to go out I just say 10 minutes out and 10 minutes back... and usually I wind up going further.

ROTFL!
Good for you for pushing hard past your boundaries - you are really "bringing it" as Tony would say:)

I'm done for Monday too. This is my week 9, and I'm back on Chest and Back which I haven't done since week 3 (when we were last supposed to in the program). It was amazing how many more pushups I could do - yeah! Pullups, a couple more, but pushups were good.

Lol - I suppose I shouldn't point out cell phones and taxis, right? ;)
Good for you Tiza!! I wonder if part of your "boredom" with the programs is just needing a change more often that the average person. Maybe one day you should do Turbo Jam, then a walk, then taiko, then pull out an old something-or-other DVD, then something different yet again. If you haven't purchased ChaLean Extreme by the next get-together, have one of us bring it and either borrow it or do one workout at the hotel for a try-before-you-buy. I KNOW you can do it physically, it's just whether it ends up being what you want to do.
*hugs*

Tuesday morning bike ride - 35 minutes done!

The encouragement here is so inspiring - I know I don't do all of the workouts that some of you do, but sometimes after just 10 minutes on my bike, I am so ready to stop - I ride while watching the early morning news on tv and I just try and get through that first half hour of news - sometimes it's a real struggle but if I just get interested in what I'm watching, it keeps me going.

Walking, I just make little short goals - like just one more block, ten more telephone poles, and it motivates me to keep going - suddenly, I've walked much further than I anticipated - if that helps anyone with their motivation...

Took the dog out early since it looks like rain. The girls' cross country team was running on our path, so I spent most of the walk holding the dog back from running with them-whew!

20 minutes done for today.

I know about cell phones & taxis, but it seemed crazy to call someone when I was only about 15 minutes from home. My parents would just laugh and hang up on me.

And yes, I do get bored quickly with any program. I'll be all gung-ho for about a month, then my enthusiasm drops off. I thought about pulling out some of my other tapes, but my laziness usually wins and Noelle isn't a good workout buddy.
