I have just started trying to do digital scrapbooking. I am using Photoshop Elements 6.0.

When I try to use one of the freebee elements from the daily emails, it is not transparent. It has a background color that covers my photo. Any idea what I am doing wrong? I know this is probably such a silly question, but any help would be appreciated.

How are you trying to insert it in your layout? As I recall, PSE 6 has a bug in it and if you drag the file up from your photo bin, it does that. If you use the Move Tool to drag and drop it, that doesn't happen.

Yes you have to make sure you pull the element down from the top into your layout and not up from the bin! Let us know if this helps!

Thank you, both! I was dragging it in from the bin. I will try the other method!
