Wednesday- 20 minutes of HIIT. I can't wait to start round 2 of P90X! I have dreams of awesome abs in my near future ;)

Go Julie!! Boy muscles here we come!

Cheri - I know what you mean. Plyo is supposed to be a tuesday exercise! It feels even stranger to do yoga twice in one week and not even on a thursday!

Tiza, I watched my mom's workout this morning and I see what you are going through. Jello legs sounds about right!

Those chest flies were the worst!! And I was only using 5lb weights today. But my arms were shaking by the 9th rep. I think I quit on the 11th. And then those pushups almost killed me.

I have a feeling that taiko will be rough on Sunday after all this ;)

Speaking of taiko...I better go practice before my neighbor decides it's "quiet hour"

When the exercise is almost unbearable is when the changes are happening to your body, always try to remember that so you can push through and get those last reps in! Sounds like your neighbor is a little grumpy, lol. Maybe you could invite him/her up to try Taiko and then they wouldn't have anything to complain about. (It's worth a try, right?)

Conda, WOW, you go girl!!! 2 Sizes is amazing!!

Jo - I'm so proud of you getting your workout in!

Everyone is doing so awesome to get their workout in early on the holiday. I'm looking forward to some "fun" (fun in interval context = sweaty, lung-crushing, extremely hard) intervals! ;) lol

Thursday, Nov. 24 - I got a 30 minute walk in this morning, hopefully revving up my metabolism a bit for the day ahead. I'm going to try to be really good today. I don't have any wiggle room in meeting my goal to back-slide now. :)

It's a gorgeous, warm day here for a late November in Nebraska. Hope to find some time to play outside with the grandkids for a bit too.

OK - I'm going to admit it - I ate way more than I should have - right now I can't even move! Going for a long, long, long, long walk as soon as I can pry myself from the sofa. I also had the tinest, tinest sliver of a piece of pumpkin pie too - I'll bet if I dared to weigh I have gained all of my weight back so I'm not even going to look at the scales today - came home, changed clothes and put my jeans on though and they don't feel any tighter but that could be a fooler -

Gasp! And this is only Thanksgiving! What is Christmas going to do to me?

Hanging my head in shame - I said I wasn't going to eat so much!

Worked all morning and by the time I got out it was stormy so didn't get an outdoor walk in. I think I"m going to take today off and make it up Sunday. But I did not overindulge.

Ok, seriously, NO ONE (Sara included!!) is allowed to feel bad about overindulging, it's Thanksgiving! Our bodies are genetically predisposed to handle a major overload on this day in history!!! (And Christmas.) Seriously though, unless you have major medical problems that prevents you from stuffing yourself (stapled stomach? I dunno) our bodies are made to handle feast to famine. Everyone can get back on track tomorrow and be a little extra strict and the extra weight from today will melt off in a few days. There is a difference between doing this a few days a year vs a few days a week. That's why we are here, right? To take control of our health and our bodies. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves today and felt love & blessings all around!

We had a great meal and the boys were well-behaved at my grandparents' for lunch (we rented the commons area after the residents' lunch at their assisted living facility). We got payback at home - ugly evening with misbehavior up the wazoo. I really, really, really did not want to work out tonight but I already missed Tuesday so I did my workout at 10pm - Shoulders and Arms. Done and done well!

I had a great lunch, including a piece of pumpkin pie (homemade from scratch by moi;) AND later had a sweet potato flavored gourmet cupcake with toasted marshmallows on top. And I never felt one tiny bit guilty, nor do I now. LOL! There are pie leftovers (I brought 2 just in case) and I think I'll have another piece tomorrow!

Thursday Nov 24. We were out all day. I walked up and down a very steep hill, twice. Then when we got home I did 10 minutes on the treadmill to make up the shorfall in time. I hope that works for the full 20 minutes.

Oh, Sheri........I was just miserable until I finally gave up and went to bed! Honestly, I didn't think I ate that much but I guess I have changed my eating habits so much that what i did eat left me feeling overstuffed and miserable - and since we were at the nursing home and there were bowls of goodies to go back for seconds, I thought that just eating the portions on my plate would be just perfect! Just goes to show that my body has adjusted to eating very small portions and I learned a lesson very quickly. That will not happen again!

Another luncheon today with the whole family this time but ordering will be ala carte and I can indulge in my usual salad or something light so will feel alot better today plus I'll be busy holding babies and talking to all my little grands and not just thinking about fooooooooood!

20 minutes on the bike this morning - going to do another bike ride later today and do the steps too - just to make the guilt go away! LOL LOL Groan! I'm stuffed still with stuffing! And it didn't help that this nursing home has a chef who is absolutely awesome and his meal was just to die for! Absolutely delicious!

I'm back on my mission now - will be good til Christmas for sure!

Friday: just finished Burn Circuit 3. It didn't seem as hard today. Guess I'll have to find heavier weights next week when I do this one again. I didn't overdo it too bad yesterday... had seconds on the stuffing but only had one piece of pumpkin pie!

Friday is done. Today is a non-lift ChaLEAN day. I am still pretty sore from lifting yesterday so I decided to go out for a bike ride instead. Flat tire on the bike AND it was super windy...so I got in a great 37 minute, 2 mile walk. :) Felt good.

Friday done - 10 minutes on the bike, followed by Burn Circuit 2.

I didn't do too bad at Thanksgiving...mostly because I cooked for myself so I could control what was on the table. Started with a salad of greens, pear, dried cranberries, feta cheese, walnuts, and an apple-dijon vinaigrette. I cooked some turkey breast tenderloins (okay, so they were cooked with a slather of herb butter on top), mashed sweet potatoes with a little milk & vanilla extract, roasted Brussels sprouts tossed in a little apple-dijon vinaigrette. A small piece of cornbread to help scoop everything up. And some slow-cooked cran-apple sauce (made with Splenda instead of sugar). A small glass of white wine on the side. And I didn't even have any dessert. Well, that's sort of a lie. I had dessert for breakfast...treated myself to donuts from the donut shop down the street ;) But that was first thing in the morning, which is part of the reason I went for 2 walks yesterday....had to work some of that off. I used to go to the donut shop every weekend, but I haven't gone since I started South Beach Diet back in the summer. So I don't feel one bit guilty about the splurge yesterday. It was a holiday. And I like to support the small mom & pop stores who were willing to be open on a holiday!

Okay enough chatting for now. Time to do more more stretches, and then plop on the couch with a mug of coffee and watch Tivo'd episodes of Top Chef :)

First day with weather that allowed me to get outdoors. I was so tired of not getting out. So I went to the beach and hiked the dunes for 1 hour and 15 minutes and right now feel like overcooked pasta. But it felt so good. I was going to start ChaLEAN today, but after that I may wait until tomorrow. Maybe later.

$299.00 for weights? Really? I couldn't begin to spend close to that! I'll have to do with my little Gold's Gym hand weights - that's alot of moolah for me!

I did 45 extra minutes on my bike this afternoon - felt I owed it to myself to get rid of my guilt trip for eating so much yesterday - we had a great time today with family - i will have pics to post later - it was good to have part of my family together again this afternoon and to see my little grands.

I've asked for a WII for Christmas and found a friend who has one she doesn't use and she wants to sell it for about half of what she paid for it so I may get that - I used it once at my son's house and really enjoyed it - it was great exercise.

Friday done...was out shopping all day, then walked 3 miles when we got home.

Thanksgiving was pretty easy..we went to my aunts so once I made it past there, I was "home free" as we didn't have any of the food at home. Had some turkey, corn, salad and a little potatoes. Skipped the dessert..was hard because they had a huge table of it, but I know I always feel like crude after eating it so I skipped.

The fun part, I was looking for something to wear shopping last night. All my sweatshirts are getting to big, so by chance I went into the boys room. At their heaviest we were getting them XL sweatshirts so they would fit over clothes and such. Those are WAY to big for the boys now as they are in large and sometimes med. To my surpise..they fit. So I went out today and bought 3 new XL sweatshirst..yeah!! I have to do mens as i'm wide through the shoulders..but when I started last year I was getting 4x and they fit until they washed..then they were usually tight. So I was happy about that.

Angie, you are the incredible shrinking woman. And the less size the greater my admiration of what you are doing. I've gone from 1x to XL (ladies) and down one size in my jeans. Things that were snug and uncomfortable last year are fitting nicely now and a couple of pair of jeans I just wasn't comfortable in are now just right. I've lost 10 pounds and almost 2 inches from my waist (that's the only measurement I'm following, as its the only one with significance for health). You enjoy those new sweatshirts. This weekend I'm planning on going through the summer clothes and donating all that are getting too big. What a great feeling that is.

Done for tonight. I'm doing the minimum times, but just getting around feels like a workout in and of itself, and I do 3 or so trips up and down stairs on top of it. The range of motion things I do may not count, but they are stressful!

Way to go Conda and Angie! You ladies are awesome! And Sandi, so glad to hear about your progress too. Nothing like a group to movitivate one. I'm sure grateful for this.

I will have to make up yesterday on Sunday.
