Wednesday: did CE Burn Circuit 2. My second week! I'm lighter on the weights than is suggested and could go heavier but don't have them yet. I can only do 3 regular pushups, then have to finish with the knee pushups .... but last week I couldn't do 12 of the knee pushups.... so am getting stronger!

Lei - using a stability ball is a great way to fire up extra muscles! Just make sure you keep your core tight. Any time you can add instability you will be burning a lot more calories and using special muscles that we may not be using every day so it also helps prevent injuries on a day-to-day basis. You should get bonus points for using the ball!

Cheri - I love the days when I have the FIRE!!! Especially on plyo day. You should really order P90X2. I ordered it and you don't want me talking about how great (hard) it is without you doing it too, right? ;)
Plus I'm convinced Tony is going to deliver it to me. I have it all planned out. I'm going to jump into his arms and ask him if he'll marry me, because I have realized I am madly in love with him and I can handle his jokes.

Tiza - Fitting into the Skinny Jeans is such major inspiration!!!! I fit into about half of mine now, I have some I've never fit into. lol. So I'm working towards that. How does it feel to fit into them?

Jo - You are a FitMom! By the time you reach Arizona you will be toned and looking sleek in your summer outfits!

So yesterday, Tuesday, rather than do Plyo like I was supposed to I did hours and hours of shopping. I don't know if hat counts but I did buy two toning balls to use for P90X2!!

Today (Wednesday) Back & Biceps. I'm trying something new, something I really should have been doing all along. I'm focusing on really good form and less on numbers. Last round I was so focused on getting higher numbers that I often did a few cheater reps (going down only halfway in a pushup, etc.) This time I'm focusing on very clean reps.

Not much to report today - we're all not feeling well and I was pushed to try the bike but only for 20 minutes - which I never should have done - ah, well, I can make it up on Sunday, I suppose.

Burn Circuit 1 done! I tried the tube bands today instead of the weights - I don't feel like I got as much out of the workout as last week. I don't think I'll use those again...at least not for ChaLEAN Extreme.

Wednesday done - 38 minute power walk.

I can't say that I can fit into my "skinny jeans" yet (that a few more sizes down the road) but I can wear a pair that is one size smaller than what I've been wearing. The fit great - except around the waist. I can stand them for most of the day but have to unbutton them by evening time. :)

Gayle - *hugs* I know you want to be raring to go but listen to your doctor and keep repeating, "this too shall pass" and you'll be up full time I hope before you know it.

I did it - I ordered P90X2. You knew I would, right? lol Now I need to locate and buy the couple new things I need to go with it. Gotta see if Target has them or if I need my trusty Amazon Prime to come to the rescue.

Back and Biceps, plus Ab Ripper X done for Wednesday!

Whew! I'm really pushing this hard, but I had to back off just a tad. As my lifelong problem with tendonitis flares up I have to take an extra rest day sometimes or I'll be out for 6-8 weeks. So yesterday just did a lot of walking up and down the halls of the hospital. We were really busy and my office is all the way at the end of a long hall, so I know I get a lot of walking in. But today....not so busy, got out early and hiked the dunes again for about a half hour, then did about 20 minutes of qigong, then did burn intervals. This was my first time with that workout and I had to modify a lot, but I finished it. But...just can't do ab burner tonight. But maybe by next week I'll be able to do it without modification so much. I maxed my heart rate and did all the moves. But it didn't do the jumping...I'm on an upper floor of the hotel and don't know how downstairs neighbors will like me jumping. So, tuesday and Wednesday done. Sandi...done in, but happy.

I have been a serious slug these past three days! I have been working hard to make a deadline, and although I just met my deadline, I have not worked out since Sunday! Ugh! But now I am free and clear for a while, so I will get back in the saddle and work out like I mean it.

Thursday: CE Burn Intervals done! It seemed harder than last week but maybe I applied myself more....... I do the modified jump rope and jumping jacks to protect my knees. On the schedule, it shows to do Ab Burner also, but there's no way I could do that in addition to Burn Intervals unless I rested in between. When do the rest of you CE people do it?

Jo, I took about 5-6 months to do CE b/c I didn't work out every day then. I purposely did Ab Burner on a day all by itself.
Now that I'm doing P90X and actually exercising 6 days a week, I do the Ab Ripper in the morning, and the main workout of the day in the afternoon. I admire anyone who works and can pull off exercising as well! I will say I have actually cut out scrapbooking time to have time to do the hour to 1.25 hour workouts (and 1.5 hours on Yoga days).

Ab Burner is only about 10 minutes long, so I didn't think it was too bad to do both of them in the same day. I found it helps to take a short 1-2 minute break and walk around the apartment between the segments to get my heart rate down a little lower.

Thursday done. Had my follow up appointment with my doctor who did my surgery. He took me off the 10lb restriction. Told me due to the hernia wants me to stay under 20lb for 2 more weeks..then i'll be all clear. I think i'll give it until the end of the month then start lifiting again in January, hopefully by then my shoulder will be healed also.
