It's Monday morning in South Africa. While all of you are still fast asleep, I did my first 20 minutes. Ending at 5 Kilometres per hour on a 10 incline on the treadmill. Hope I can keep this up. Good luck everybody.

I forgot to post my bike ride this morning - 25 minutes on the stationary bike - kind of slacking this morning - I'd really rather be asleep right now.

Conda, I have to giggle at your attitude - you want to be grumpy about exercise, but perky sweet Chalene prevents you :giggle_bear:
I find it hard to be grumpy with Tony too, although he's not as perky as Chalene, he's funny. Even when he doesn't mean to be...in the ab video he's up instructing, then before the next exercise he says, "I'm on my butt" then starts the 54321 countdown to the next exercise. In our house we say "bottom" - NEVER butt. Just doesn't have the same ring as a child's insult;) So what does my 2-year old latch on to from sitting in the room with me when I exercise? BUTT of course! He said it and giggled, apparently figuring out quite quickly that it has "potential" as something to say really loudly when your parents least expect it. teehee

Hello Shredders!

I'm in on this round!

This school year has been a tough one-I have a very challenging caseload of kiddos. To make a long story short, I was pretty overwhelmed for a while, and my professional life negatively affected my personal life. But I got it all together, and it's time to get back to taking care of me.

So now I'm going to direct my mantra for the past few months to the shred........WILL IT TO HAPPEN.

Goodnight, I have a hot date with my P90X at 4:30am. Posted Image

Yay, another P90X'er!!! Hi Julie!
So funny you guys mention that "hots for Tony" thing. I kind of do mildly have a crush on Tony, probably because he's so funny and well, he does look good!! My last BF caught on to that rather quickly and whenever I said I was going to do my P90X he'd make a little comment about challenging Tony to a duel or something like that.. it was so funny!

Tiza, I hope your knee heals up quickly! Maybe today it is all better.

I can't believe some of you are working out so early in the morning!!!! I am in awe. I'm either doing Legs & Back today or Yoga, I haven't decided.

The knee is feeling mostly back to normal today. A little muscle soreness behind the knee and a little in the ankle of the same leg. I was wearing cute flat-soled boots with very little support yesterday - not the best for all the standing/walking I did, or for running across busy streets. So I have nobody to blame but myself.

Today I mostly have the normal taiko aches & pains in my arms & legs. Nothing that will prevent me from exercising tonight...which will hopefully be Day #1 with ChaLEAN. We'll see if there is a box on my doorstep when I get home!

I am happy to hear that! I always historically had a hard time listening to my body when it is telling me it is injured and to rest, which inevitably ends up with me having to take a much longer time off than would have been necessary had I just rested a few days. Now I've learned, it has taken me a few injuries and several years. :)

I hope your package is there today!!!

OK, I did ChaLean this morning, started on the Burn Phase, Burn Circuit 1. I don't have weights that are heavy enough so may need to use the bands. Yesterday I watched the Burn Basics and did the same workout as today just to see what it was like. I'm afraid if I take a day off, I won't get back to it again........

Monday 11-21

45 minutes of Zumba at home. Not as much sweat as at the gym, but still a good work out! (Gym is We, I always look forward to it)

Monday 11-21
I got my 20 minutes of exercise in today...unfort I had to do it in 2 10 minute sessions because of a back injury. I'm just not strong enough yet to go that full 20 but I am confident I will be soon! I also plan on doing some strength training later tonight. Congrats to all of us who got our exercise in today!

Sheri, if I don't do mine first thing in the morning, it won't get done! I know myself too well - I have to do my exercises before I get dressed for the day - it's pretty much a habit now - coffee, check the mb, ride the bike.......check the mb, post my exercise, read the paper, get dressed - boring, huh? LOL LOL

Believe it or not, I got to the gym today. It was hard - got really shaky - but one of the owners is training me now (my other girl left the company) and she is being really careful. It's kind of discouraging to be thrown backwards like this, but at least I did something. I figure that nothing would be worse.

so yes, I did mine!

Good for you Ro! It's always hard to get back into exercising if you've been away from it, so I imagine only way more so if you've had surgery and have to be extra careful now.

I got my Chest and Back DVD in today. My "hot date" was during my 2 year old's naptime:) I admire anyone who can do their workout first thing in the am. My body does NOT like that and rebels! Naptime is perfect for my exercise time:)

Monday done - 5 minutes warm-up on the bike (while watching taiko videos on YouTube on my phone), followed by 20-minutes of TJ Ab Jam!

And I'll probably practice my taiko drills during commercial breaks of my 7pm show...starting soon :)

Monday, Nov. 21 - 30 minutes on the treadmill. My ankle and heel didn't bother me at all, thank goodness. I'm hoping tomorrow it will be a few more degrees warmer so I can walk outside.

Monday - I missed my "hot Yoga date with Tony" (I know, ME???? Miss Tony? Right?!) so did 20 mins of intervals. I worked hard to keep my diet in check today to prepare for the Thursday bird feast ;)

The Chalean workouts don't involve jumping- some lunges, but since you're supposed to be going slow, not so much noise there. The only problem I see is if you don't put your weights down gently. ;)

I love how she says, "Don't take it out on the equipment!"

No CE tonight. FedEx said it was supposed to be delivered today. The tracking still shows it "in transit" somewhere in St. Louis. Whatever that means.

The downstairs neighbor banged loudly on his ceiling this evening as I was practicing taiko. He's just going to love when I am dropping my weights.

Good morning all my Shredder sisters. I really do admire you all. I get tired just reading this. One thing you must know about me is, I DON'T EXCERCISE! If I lost the use of my legs, it would be 2 weeks before I noticed. :disappearing-smilie:
So, Tuesday Nov 22 - 20 minutes on treadmill going uphill and pretty fast. I have started listening to a book and I promised myself to ONLY listen when I'm on the treadmill. So if I want to ever finish I must walk.
Going to treat myself to a facial and pedi now. Have a great day everyone.

Did my 30 minutes qigong tonight. Of course at work today I walked up and down the halls, got over 8,000 steps just at work today. And then carrying luggage up the steps to the third floor hotel room. Who needs Chalene or Tony? LOL. Can't wait to get ChaLEAN for next week. I think that will be one program I can do, even if I live in a hotel 4 days a week. Now that the weather has turned really nasty, it'll have to be indoor activity for me. Next weekend its supposed to get nicer, but 40 mile an hour winds and driving rain are making me a fair weather walker.

It's still Monday here in PST, so I'm not late in checking in. :)
I got my 20+ minutes in today, as well as 6 (I think) trips up and down the stairs. Using crutches less and less every day.

Tuesday done - a little late this morning, but done!

25 minutes on the bike and instead of counting the steps, i did 15 minutes of running up and down the basement stairs. That's a killer for my ankle, but great for other "spots"! :)
