Hide Pse Hide Photoshop Elements command

Hello everyone,
When I have Photoshop Elements opened and I want to minimize it ( HIDE ) there is a short cut for it, which is ^ then command key and H. To locate this look at the top of the screen right next to the apple and you will see the words Photoshop Elements. Right click on the work Photoshop Elements to get the drop down menu to see the short cut. I always click on the hide photoshop menu because I can't get the short cut to work. I can get the short cut to quit photoshop elements to work.
Am I missing something??
