I am so looking forward to the new year and really getting some new and healthy habits started. I am turning 40 in Mrch and don't want to be fighting the same 20 pounds I have been for the last 10 years!!

Let's start signing up and I will get the chart going...

The rules as quoted from Brandy:
"You must exercise each day of the 30 challenge (6 Days per week- we are taking Sunday off this round) for at least 20 minutes. Angie and I are following The original Biggest Loser DVD, but feel free to use any you have on hand; Jillian's 30 Day Shred, Chalean Extreme or you can do any exercise you like, DVD, walk, bike ride, swim or gym.
You must check in to the check in thread each day to get checked off and your progress charted.
If you miss a day you can make it up on Sunday, you just have to let Cheri know you did it so she can make sure your chart is correct.
Feel free to moan and groan..we all do..LOL

PS..it is a good idea to weigh and measure yourself before you start so you can see your own progress. There is no need to share this with the group, it's just for your own benefit. It is always encouraging to see progress."

Count me in. and don't worry about turning 40, I'm turning 60 next week. And I have been carrying those extra pounds (more than 20 of them since I was about 45. Better start today than in the next decade.

Count me in too, Melanie! I've decided to join Rich's gym in January so hopefully I will have lots more to report than just my piddly little bike ride! I've set a goal for myself to get into my smallest jeans (which I've tucked away so carefully in my closet just hoping) and I think I can, I think I can, I think I can do this - this thread has kept me so honest and so committed!

Honesty I can do in the shred thread as far as weight and exercise go, but just can't bring myself to admitting to being anything but 40 and I've been 40 for several years now! :rofl:

I'm going to have to sit this one out, hopefully for the last time. I'm having some minor surgery on Dec. 30th, but I won't be back up and running for at least a week. I'll start exercising once I get the ok and officially join in next time.

I wondered if I was the only one trying to work around a Christmas tree, lol. I had to figure out different diagonal approaches to things that needed more room with it up in here.

I'm in - I'll find something I can do after my surgery that counts as exercise - Kind of think this month will be very important to smooth out all muffin top I see. Just found a great brand of jeanss that I really ike - the brand is Ruby Rd. and they come in skinny leg, flare leg and straight leg. They are really nice jeans and not too expensive - I was very pleased with the pair I tried on and bought two pairs of them - they come in stone wash and also in khaki and olive too and I just really, really like the way they look - They are not low waisted but hit at the real waist and I like that about them (helps hide the muffin top! I like to wear my shirts tucked in with a belt and these jeans just work for me.

Just a suggestion...........
