Very cool chart, Melanie - I like how you designed it!

Monday done for me - in spite of what doc said I managed to ride the bike for about ten minutes and then did some band exercises - I guess all in all I spent about 30 minutes exercising today. Not sure every day will be this easy - and I don't want to do anything to "irritate the hernia" or whatever one does to cause a problem with a hernia - I don't know alot about hernia's really - except that my doc said she could "feel the hole" when she examined the area where it hurts. Hoping the surgeon will have more info for me - I don't even know how one "gets" or develops a hernia!

Can I join you ladies in this month's shred? I love the quote you put on the chart, Melanie. "I don't sweat I simply glisten." I hadn't heard that one before. lol I'm going to dazzle with sweat.

today is my 1 year anniversary today. 1 year ago today I decided "this was it" and took control back of my life. Not sure what made this time around different then the million other times I had tried...but I can tell you what helped was the support of this group and having something to be accountable to.

So year to date I have lost 120lbs. 20 more then my original goal was when I started...and 20 less then what my "adjusted" goal was this summer...so it's a happy medium. I have 40 more to go before I "think" i'll be happy.

So no matter if today is your first check in with us, or you've been with us from the start I want to say you can do it also. Sure there will be hurdles along the way, and days you feel like giving up...we all do. The only thing I can say is, that's all been part of my journey also. And i've had to learn that when that happen you have to brush yourself off, pull up your big girl panties (I just love that saying...lol) and keep going. Don't let a hurdle define you...you take control of that hurdle.

I love hearing about your wonderful journey, Angie. I started out about the same month you did. January 15th. I was busting out of my jeans and refused to go buy a bigger pair. Instead I started out walking 3 days a week. I gradually amped up the workouts to do a bit of running, and let Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred kick me into shape. You all have been a wonderful inspiration to me. I lost about 20 lbs last year. I could not have done it without the support and encouragement of this group. Thank you!

My goal this year is to lose 15 lbs by June. We are planning a trip to Myrtle Beach then. My other goal is to keep and maintain a regular exercise routine.

Thanks Angie..I needed to hear it again. I have been struggling with motivation after I can back from my vacation in Georgia in November.
BUT I am ready to "pull up my big girl panites" LOL and go again. I have lost 40 lbs with this group since May of last year. I have about 30 more to go to be ecstatic or 20 more to go to be very happy.

I've spent over 30 minutes shampooing carpet today. I think it was closer to an hour, but I know I did at least 30 minutes. I still plan to do another room and some painting, but I wanted to get my report in so I didn't forget to post it.

Monday done - 42 minutes of brisk walk. And I do mean brisk! It was only 32 degrees, but sunny and the wind wasn't too bad. It's going to be warmer for the next few days so it's looking good to keep it up.

Angie and Brandy, it really is encouraging to hear your progress. I'm disappointed in myself that I couldn't do 12 lbs. in 12 weeks, (did 7 1/2) but I'm not giving up. I know the holidays made it really difficult for me and those are behind me now.

I did my first workout of P90X2 today - X2 Core, and while parts of it were easier than I expected, I think he did it that way on purpose to prepare your breathing for the super difficult moves. One-legged burpees with your hands on a medicine ball for the pushup part at the bottom. yikes! At least they are slower than regular burpees, lol - I hate doing them fast!

Glad to hear my kids were not the only ones back to school today. Nobody believed me when I told them they went back today and not tomorrow!

Dh had a short work day, which threw me off a bit, but I still managed to get 20 minutes in with the dog.

Happy Anniversary, Angie! You are an inspiration to us all. I've lost 8 lbs and would love to lose another 10. I did fine over the summer, but went into maintenance mode for the fall. Now is a good time to kick that last 10 lbs. away.

Monday done!--I did 30 mins. on the elliptical at the Y. I want to start CE again but my elbow still hurts just a tad. Torn between resting it and just jumping in and seeing what happens. Don't know why my elbows seem so prone to overuse...can't be age, can it?

What an awesome group of shredders we have here! Congratulations to all of you that have been shredding for quite some time and seeing fabulous results!

I did a second workout this evening...martial arts class. I would have tried to do a second class, but school started back today, I worked out at 5am this morning and I just plain ran out of energy! Cheers to a good night's sleep tonite!
