Many people have said they would continue to check in after today, even though the new chart won't start until Jan 2. Since the other thread is really long I thought I would just start an interim thread to check in between the 21st and 1st.

Happy Shredding!

Thanks, Melanie - no, it isn't any better - just didn't feel I could sit on the bike since after about ten minutes I tend to "hunch" over and I so needed to walk and work off some stress - it worked! Playing Santa did my back in this year I'm afraid - and the muscle relaxers doc gave me made me sooooooo sick to my stomach so just having to endure it! Groan! Time will heal!

I've been a slacker. Hard to justify the time when you've stayed up half the night.... I haven't even taken off my bodybugg to plug it in today (yes, that means I haven't showered either) but I did get the things I needed to done today. I'm off to catch up on some sleep - so I can take off the grumpy pants tomorrow. ;)

I finally got up enough nerve to let Rich take a full length pic of me at the Christmas parade this year - I haven't had a full body pic made in I don't know when - I can't believe I've finally gotten the intestinal fortitude to post it here but I actually did a layout - promise you won't laugh at my chunky profile! I'm down 10 and have 10 more to go to reach my goal - thanks to the Shred Thread! It's hard though dropping these last pounds - and groan, with the holidays upon us!

Anyway, here it is............My chunky self...but 10 lbs lighter

I'm going to walk the Mall today - my back is still pretty painful and I don't feel so good this morning anyway - knowing me though, I will probably be doing alot more stopping and browsing than I will walking; fortunately, my two fav stores are located at different ends of the Mall.

15 years ago I gave my Rich a Saint Michael's medal to wear (Saint Michael is the one who watches over law enforcement) and I've bought a little infinity charm to go on the chain with the medal to show that our love is to infinity and I have to go and pick it up - it's my Christmas present to Rich. I'm sure I will find lots of things I want for myself while I''m there which will require carrying bags and walking back and forth to the car!

Ok skipped yesterday, involved with work all day and then one of those mandatory functions in the evening. Ugh! But today finished early and got out for a great beach walk and even found a few agates. I always feel better when I get outdoor exercise. And I'm glad I got it in....getting cloudy, foggy and colder now.

Woah. I ate way way way way way way way way too much at our office party today. I couldn't stop myself. I grazed through the appetizers all morning, ate a huge portion at lunch, and had several pieces of dessert. I felt sick when I left to go home. It was bad. Well, not the food. All the food was GOOD...great even. But my lack of willpower was horrible.

I'm still waiting for my stomach to settle before I attempt to exercise tonight. The schedule calls for Burn It Off & Recharge tonight. And I sure have plenty of calories to burn off.

Well, Tiza, it IS the holiday season and a party is a party and you were supposed to have fun! It's okay - you can burn it all off! I know what you mean about feeling kind of sick after eating all of the party food - I've convinced myself that if I eat it I know I will feel sick and it's the one thing that's saved me - Tonight, I put all of the cookies I had baked into pretty cookie tins to take to Charlotte and had about 4 or 5 cookies from each batch that wouldn't fit in them so I put them all on a plate and hand delivered them to Rich without even eating a single one - I'm afraid that one will lead to two and to three, etc. I do kind of miss enjoying all the Christmas goodies though and I know when I come back from Charlotte I will have to be honest and admit that i've eaten things I shouldn't . It doesn't help that my son is an awesome cook!

Okay. Just finished "Burn It Off." When I was finished, Noelle decided to come over and lick my shoulder dry. What a sweet kitty. Except now I have a bunch of cat hair stuck to my sweaty... I mean GLISTENING... arm.

What is it about animals and "sweat", "glistening" "dewing" that attracts them so? When Rich comes home from the gym (and I know you're already saying ewwwwewwwwwwie!) he takes his sneakers off and Lucy runs to his bare feet to lick them - it's almost like she's been in withdrawal and oh, oh, oh, here's the drug - the sweat, the glisten, the dew - well, in Rich's case, let's call it pure sweat! Doesn't bother Rich but she is NOT licking my feet! It gives me the willies!

Do cats still have those rough tongues when they lick? My Siamese will lick my fingers if I give her the empty tuna can for just a quick minute and her tongue doesn't feel rough - I always thought when I was younger that cats had a rough tongue? ( I remember I thought our cat's tongue then felt like sandpaper)

Yes she has a sandpaper tongue. Think of it as a spa "exfoliation" treatment. When a cat grooms you, it's a sign of affection. :) Either that, or her signal that I'm sweaty and should go take a shower.

Just finished Recharge. My left hamstring was really tight! Wow I feel better now. I woke up with a knot in my left shoulder/neck, and that hasn't gone away yet.

With my Hannah, it's probably a sign of affection and oh, thanks, Mom for the remmants of the tuna you left for me! :) :) She can be at the other end of the house when I open the can of tuna and comes running and stands and waits for me to put it down for her - she knows me only too well! Cats are really people, you know! :)

Maybe it's time for a professional massage for that knot, Tiza! My middle son had one the other day and I massaged his neck and shoulders for 30 minutes and it was as hard as a rock - finally got it relaxed a little bit and his tightness went away. I'm no pro at all, but it worked!

LOL!:) My beagle has taken to inspecting my Yoga poses, and the other day when I bent over during the cooldown to stretch my hamstrings, there was suddenly a dog in my face!
