I didn't get anything exercise-wise done yesterday, Christmas Eve, but did 30 minutes walking OUTSIDE today. It was upper 40s! Weird for a Christmas Day in Nebraska.

I haven't checked in for a while. I walked today, went to the gym yesterday - burned enough calories the other days, but didn't actually "work-out."

I did about half my usual workouts yesterday and today, and let the weights go. Back at it tomorrow!

Not sure the last time I checked in...

Saturday Burn Intervals...hurt something doing those speed skaters....I almost cried!! Modified other exercises that hurt that spot...

Sunday did my lift Push 3...skipped the bowler lunges on the right side, but managed everything else.

Today, burn it off...I was even able to do the speed skating...LOL...ok, I did SLOW skating but was able to do it without pain! Yay!!

Tomorrow is an off day...but I put it fat blaster so it is ready to go!! Each day after my work out, I get the next work out ready to go in the dvd player. That way, when I am ready the next day, I don't have to figure out which work out to do! On days like today, when I'm feeling good at the end of the work out...I'm energetic to do the next work out. In the morning...well, I won't be feeling so energetic for Fat Blaster...but I'll hit play and do it any way...

I put ALL the cookies in the freezer yesterday so those are out of the way for temptation. Back to my normal eating today! Yay!!

I don't have time to catch up on all of the thread...got to hop in the shower so we can go truck shopping. OH JOY!! I'll check in later today.....

Just went for a walk with dd and the dog. It was so nice to get out in nature after all the chaos of the last few days.

CE Burn Circuit 1. This has got to be doing some kind of good for me. All spaghetti arms and legs now.

Question for the CE experts. Since at the end of 4 weeks I still will have to be modifying quite a bit, is it better to keep progressing through the program or keep repeating burn phase until I can do it without so much modification? I really need a remedial program. LOL. But I will get through it.

Sandi, I would definitely go on to to the push month. You can continue to modify there as needed. In the push month she wants you to up the weights and lower your reps so you are reaching muscle fatigue in 6-8 reps (I think those are her numbers - Tony's are different and I'm going by memory). Many moves are different as well, so you are targeting slightly different areas sometimes too.

An hour on the elliptical today. Getting back into the groove. Well, kind of - Bob took this whole week off, so I won't be getting it all the way back until the next week. ;)

Oh you all will so understand/enjoy this. So on Christmas Eve Justin decided he needed to go get myself and Gary a present. So he called my dad and had him take him to WalMart (this itself had to be a scene...as WalMart on Christmas Eve is the LAST place my dad would want to be...lol) So when they got back Justin was so excited!!! Finally late last night he couldn't stand it any more and wanted us to open our gifts. I couldn't believe how well he did (he's getting so old) he got me a new holder for my Nano that goes onto my art, been wanting one for awhile, a new pair of headphones since mine kept falling out of my ear, and he must of heard me talking about wanting to get ankle weights for walking...cause he got those also.

Of course I was cussing him today when I walked with the ankle weights (I only used 4lbs per leg..but man that made a difference) I told him if I could raise my leg to kick his butt I would of, he just laughed.

He did such a good job!!

What a sweet thing for Justin to do, Angie - I love it! He obviously knows his Mom very well - kudos to Justin! (and to Grandpa for making that dreaded trip to Walmart ot make Justin's dream come true!)

Push Circuit 1. Very first exercise...bicep curls. I followed instructions and went heavy. 15 lbs each. After 3 reps, my left arm completely refused to budge again. My right arm made it to 6 reps, but the left bicep mutinied against me and just hung there. And that made me laugh. I burst out laughing so hard I had to pause the DVD so I wouldn't miss anything. And I kept laughing throughout the whole circuit. Not happy laughing like I was enjoying myself (believe me, I wanted to die)...but it was so intense my body didnt know whether to laugh or cry, so it did both. Did you know it's really difficult to keep breathing while you are laughing?? So unfortunately, by the time I got to the heel squats, I got rather light-headed after just 4 reps and had to sit out for the rest of them while I drank some water. ANd then I laughed some more through the pushups (I managed 1 on my toes!) and the stretches.

Yikes. I've gone insane.

And I have to go through a whole month of this????

Now I can barely lift my arms, so I don't know how I'll prepare dinner. I wonder what I can find that is waist-high in the fridge...

I was so happy over Chrstmas - my son and his wife have been cooking super healthy meals so our Christmas Dinner was a little differnet, but absolutely delicious - lots and lots of grilled veggies ( we did each have a very small tenderloin) and a huge salad, so cheating was not an option!

And my cookies were consumed the first two days - I did break down and had two - just two!

Yahoo, Theresa! That's an awesome accomplishment. My scale has been going up and down one lb. It was up today. I'll hit the exercise a bit more seriously tomorrow. I just had a 15 minute brisk walk with 8 year old Sam today. My daughter asked what we talked about. I told her that Sam carried most of the conversation - meaning I couldn't get a word in edgewise. LOL

OMGoodness, I don't know whether to laugh, cry, or both for you:) I will say in sympathy that I honestly asked DH to lift the Christmas main course leftovers up into the microwave when I finished working out this evening b/c I didn't know if I could do it without dropping them. lol

I made a salad for dinner, so it wasn't too strenuous on my muscles ;) The trick will be trying to get my arms up to brush my teeth!

Started my day with a great qigong flow routine. Its very relaxing, yet energy generating at the same time. And while it does not give the same muscle burn that CE does, I can certainly feel my muscles durning and afterward, and yes, my heart rate gets up into training range and I definitely had a glow on, though not the dripping wet hard workout sweat. A great way to start my day.

Agreed....and yes, it's 6-8 reps. Part of her "theory" is to change it up every 30 days so your body doesn't get stuck in a rut.

It's my CE rest day so I went for a short walk outside. My endurance must be getting better because I was able to jog for 2 straight minutes! In fact, during my 20-minute walk, I did about 4 slow-jogging intervals of 2-minutes each. I was only outside for 20 minutes because the sun had set and the temperature was quickly dropping!
