I haven't settled on a word for this year yet. I can't choose between "Present" (not as in gifts, but as in Being present, paying attention, focusing on what I am doing) and "Intentional" (kind of the same thing - doing things on and with a purpose, not just moving aimlessly). I am excited to read everyones words - very inspirational. :D

My word this year is ACTION. I'm the sort of person who can get lost in my thoughts, dreams, plans, wishes, goals, but am often lacking in the execution phase of actually doing. So this is the year to ACT on all my plans in order to realized my goals and dreams and to increase my ACTIVITY by regular exercise.

My word too...thanks for sharing! :)

Active, activity, action....JUST DO IT!!! I get so overwhelmed with "so much stuff" to do that I get paralyzed!! So now, when something needs done, I don't think so much about it, I just do it! That is mentally freeing! Also, physically ACTIVE...actively making smart food choices. Being active and in charge...

I'm thinking of using the word REDUCE. Kind of on the same vein as SIMPLIFY, but along with it I need to lose about 50 lbs.

I think my word for the year would be "Understanding" After the year I have had, a little understanding was in order to process all that happened, but the past is just that and now that I have a firm grasp on the concept, each and every day forward brings newness and awe to me and my family! I haven't done a layout in ages, and due to a computer disaster, have no digi scrap items left so I guess I will need to be a shoppin for some more to use!

Have a great day everyone!
Jess

I've just read through everyone's words again and I'm so impressed with what everyone wants from life this year with their focus word. Have you seen Debbie Macomber's new book, One Perfect Word? She writes about words she has used for her focus over years and how much impact they have had on her life. I've only just started reading it, but there is a lot to these words of the year.

My word for the year is Thankful --- I posted a Thankful layout and truly do have this quote on my refrigerator. I use the word to also remind me to be thankful for the people in my life and to NOT take anyone for granted!
