Ro,
simply put, Thank you.
The Lord provides when we most need it, as I was in need of the words you shared with us all in today's Muse. Funny how He speaks to us some days! Through a newsletter, a forum, a stranger on the street. He gets our attention in so many different ways. Thank you for sharing your heart with us. I am going to post this on a hanging clipboard where I will see it every day, and start writing my opportunities out to go along side it. Blessings always,
Beth

I loved Ro's "discovery muse" in this morning's newsletter too - so very true and something to really think about - Ro, you always say it so well! THANK YOU!

I am in the middle of planning our annual state solo/ensemble student auditions--we host a district site and I've been coordinator for years now. And it is always a trick to get enough parent help. I was actually ahead of the game, then in the past two days learned 3 parents have to bow out due to deaths in families. I learned of the most recent one just before reading Ro's muse. And of course I just wanted to go hang my head and pout. I did not want to ask how to have faith that it'll work out or be brave in calling even more parents, etc. I just want it to be Saturday night already! But I'll take a deep breath, read the muse again, and press on.

Thanks, Ro, for your thoughts today. So often we want character growth, but rarely want to endure the path that takes us there!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it. I have to practice this constantly. Life is very "interesting" sometimes.

I don't really get agitated by people. I always suppose they are just having a bad day, etc. But technology and this computer I work with for many hours daily get to me. I become very boisterously angry when it doesn't behave as I think it should, which is frequently. My husband says that it's going to kill me. He could be right. Now, I've put a sign at the bottom of my Mac screen: This is my opportunity to conquer my anger. Thanks, Ro.

So well put, Ro! I have always taught my boys to face adversity with the question, "What does the Lord want me to learn here? What am I supposed to be getting out of this experience." Ro's phrasing helps me to stretch that into so many challenging situation, while being mindfully specific. It's like a yoga stretch--I had good form, but that perspective helped me to feel the next level. I can't tell you how excited I am about this!
