Hi
soemthing is driving me crazy
within the internet there is so much stuff you can download png, jpgs, patterns and designs etc

now my question is
how do you use the these in your designing when the sizes run any where from 5kb, 11kb 16 kb
these are tiny in size
is there something I am missing here?
or is there some program other than Photoshop to upsize them
I feel like a dunce

These would be web graphics and aren't meant to be used like this. They are likely samples or people sharing what they are up to. You can't upsize them to 300 dpi. I would be careful using them because it is likely that you might break copyright with them. Even though images are in the Internet, they are still copyrighted by the owner.

A lot of the freebies that you might find on the internet that say they are for digital scrapbooking are actually for "taggers" - those that just create web graphic signatures and things like that. They usually are much smaller than graphics created for actually creating pages. As Ro said, you can't make them bigger without them becoming pixelated.

Good advice from Ro and Pat! Believe me, you aren't the only one who's tried to use these different formats - I'm one of them who found out exactly what Ro and Pat said - good luck to you in your scrapping! We're happy to have you here with us where here, everything on SG works just super!

Thanks! I'd been wondering what was meant by "tagger size". I knew it was smaller, but didn't really understand the distinction.

thanks for the info
and believe me I am very careful about what I download
I do not want to use any copyright stuff
unless permission is granted by the creator
thanks again

Good questions, and I learned something new too! Didn't know what a tagger was either!
