So did I miss the memo about boot cut jeans not being in fashion anymore? LOL And just when I started liking them a bit more! I was a total holdout from the thinner cut jeans of my high school years (back when you took a paperclip to make them even skinnier at the ankle). My recent pants purchases (from Goodwill, mostly, and a consignment place here that I love) were boot cut. Wah! Now as soon as I thought I was getting fashionable the fashions have moved on without me! Figures...lol

Cheri, I always wear boot cut. I think they are a classic & I don't see Levi's not making them EVER! So keep wearing them and we can both be fashion disasters together...LOL

I got Tuesday's workout in, but have been out of commission for the past several days due to illness. Hopefully I will be ready to workout tomorrow...I feel like such a slacker!

This sounds like fun and an awesome support group. I just retired (31 Jan) and one of my goals is to get healthier and get rid of the 10-15 extra pounds that I have been carrying for way too long. I joined curves & have been managing 30 minutes to an hour. I will try to remember to sign up in March. You can do it ladies!

Okay, I'm confused about the rules. I did my exercise today and posted that on the I Want to Be a Shedder Thread. Then I was told this is where I do it everyday, yet none of these were posted after Feb.3.

Saturday Feb 11: 30 minute walk. Kiddos were in a Mardi Gras parade and rode in the back of my Dad's truck, my sister and I walked, though.

Karen, we are only one week in. I can add you to the chart if you'd like.

Oh, and nothing for me today. DD had a swim meet this afternoon. Just got home an hour ago totally exhausted--bleacher sitting for 4 hours plus an hour drive each way.

I had a good, solid (not flashy) 25 minutes exercise bike ride today (Sat). I will have to make yesterday (Fri) up tomorrow.

Oooh!!! Sounds like some of you got snow!!!

Gayle, I love Coco Chanel quotes. She was just about the classiest woman alive, wasn't she? And Audrey Hepburn. I just love her.

Saturday - I did TurboJam tonight because I really felt like doing something fun & dancing so I did Cardio Party. It was fun! Somehow I let the amount of water I drink slip back a little and I must have got dehydrated because I had excruciating leg cramps a few hours later. I slammed a few quarts of water and ate a banana & magnesium and it went away for awhile and came back once more. Just AWFUL!! I don't know why I get them occasionally but I wouldn't wish them on my worst enemy..

Saturday is done. It was Burn Circuit 2. Happy to say I lifted heavier (2.5 pounds) on EACH lift!! I'm feeling that this morning...lol. I also did a BL loser aerboic workout to get in a bigger calorie burn. Some of it was hard with jello arms.... ;) All that work for a 289 calorie burn?? Wheeew!!

Sunday is a rest day, but I plan to do something. I want to go out for a walk, but it is cold....BRRRR

Look at us go girlfriends!!

Ok, out of my funk and back on track. Went out for a sunrise hike along the coquille river and then on bullard's beach this morning. Even jogged a little. 75 minutes worth of moving! Now a warm cup of coffee and a hot shower and I can start the rest of my day. Really looking forward to longer daylight hours so I can get out more. The indoor workouts just do not float my boat, necessary, but not what I really want to be doing. Anyone have any suggestions for good hiking boots?

I agree...I would SOOOO much rather be outside then inside. Give me a 5 mile walk outdoor anyday over 1 mile on treadmill.

Shoes check out MBT I know if you look at amazon there's some MBT hiking boots (may find them other places also) I LOVE my MBT walking shoes, where them everyday. No joint pain or the soreness from jolting when walking. Might be worth checking out

So, I cleaned out my library this weekend. That can count for one day - and it isn't done yet. And if we could move that double workout to cover the other day, that would be great. I've burned enough calories today to count as a workout - must have been directing that choir. :D

I got a more intense 35 minute exercise bike session in today (Sunday). This is the best I've been able to do since I've been able to get back at it. I still have a little ground to make up from my surgery...
