i started this LO, and i got this far, and now i'm stuck. i know its missing something. maybe the colours should be switched, the pics moved around, change the title, etc. i know i should add some elements too, and maybe get rid of the ribbons at the corners, but i'm just drawing a blank. i could really use some advice and suggestions.
I'm starting to think it might be better to just start over.

what about a cluster of embellishments in a corner to create some asymmetry? something to draw the eye to only one corner? I like the balancing of the photos in the other corners. I think it's a good start...it's always hard when you run up against a wall creatively. Does it help to look at other layouts in the gallery? Thanks for sharing, good luck! I'd be curious to hear other people's comments as well!

I'm not good at offering advice, sorry. I do love the colors though. Why don't you use a ready made template to start off with? If I did not use templates, I'll never get anything done.Posted Image. Good luck.

I'd just play around with some embellishments and placement of them and like Belle said, a template is always a good way to go when you just can't figure out what to do with it!

I like what you've done though - love the colors!

I won't be much help either but I think you need to make this a 2 pager... I only really started to see the benefits of them... but it will give you a lot more freedom to balance out hte photos without cluttering up the page... I enlarged the photo and looked at it and except for the bottom left photo none of them can be made any smaller really without losing people in them so you don't want to do that... I think a double pager with an inversed photo stack would be ideal as you have similar shaped photos - a stack of 3 on each page anchored with the long photo and then embellished to balance out the stack would be brilliant... then you can have a bit of fun with ribbons and clusters and maybe a different alpha or 2?? Just ideas... :-) oh and looking again at the photo I am seeing a plum, a gold and black ... no blue really.... this might be why you are struggling... pretty colours but I don't see where they fit... Good luck!

Maybe make one of the pictures a focal photo? As it is, they all have the same importance. A 2 page spread would give you more options. And you might pick colors from the photo for your coordinating colors.
I hope you looked at it with fresh eyes today and were inspired! Often taking a break is the best idea. :)

thanks for all the suggestions ... I've decided to start over on this LO and hopefully I choose better colours.
