Hey Ladies (and Gents!) I am starting a new chart focusing on Healthy Habits. I have rejoined Weight Watchers online and need the accountability to stay on points, so since the Shredder chart seems to be working so well for excercise accountability I thought maybe another chart would work, too. Not everyone will have the same Healthy Habit, but please let us know what yours is so we can cheer you on. Some examples might be: staying within your points, counting calories, getting your water, eating more fruits and veggies, etc...

Start signing up and I will start the chart on Monday to coincide with the shredder chart.

I am going to give this a go. Thanks Melanie. I also count points but do not exercise or drink enough water.

Please sign me up - not that I want to, but I need to. It has been all too easy to let my carb control go.

Sounds good to me, Melanie - thanks for thinking of this! I can do this! And especially right now with my exercise at an all point low, it would be very helpful.

I like your idea!

My sentiments exactly! I DO have the exercise under control...but I need to track my calories more faithfully and increase my fruit/vegetable intake.

Thanks Melanie!!

Thanks so much for doing this, Melanie! You are an angel of personal fitness! Please add me to the list.

I'm going to start tracking my points. This month I'm not going to focus too much on staying "on point," but I do want to make sure I'm tracking every day. I know myself well enough to know that is the single most important habit to my weight loss success.

Let's get healthy!

Ok, the healthy habit I want to focus on this month is logging everything I eat. I use myfitnesspal on my iPhone, it makes it pretty easy, even reads bar codes. I just need to do it. I have a friend who has been logging his food in for about 8 months now and he's lost 65 pounds. He says he can't change his bad habits unless he knows what they are. So for the next month, I log everything everyday.

I've also ordered the Great Courses program on nutrition. There are so many gimmicky diets out there and some good ones too. I want to know more about what I'm putting into my body. I ordered the audio CDs. thirty-six 30 minutes lectures on nutrition, plus 2 guidebooks.

I'm eating more fruits and veggies and my portions are much smaller for this go-round - I find that the less I put on my plate, the better I do and I don't go back for seconds. And, as opposite to what I'm doing this may sound, the smaller portion idea came to me because everytime we go out to eat, they bring what I've ordered and the portions are HUGE - just looking at it makes me suddenly not hungry! So now when Rich and I go out to eat we order one meal and we split it - neither of us need that huge portion and of course, it costs less then too!

So, portion control and more fruits and veggies for me. And adding more water to my daily routine.

Had the best lunch today!! Thomas Thin Bagel, ham, lettuce, tomato and Laughing Cow's New Cream Cheese in Garden Vegetable-yummm, tasted just like the sandwich I get at the bagel shop. Having pot roast for dinner, so trying to be good and save points for that.

So happy to see everyone on here!!

Monday--Going with the "If you bite it, write it!" rule. I've done well today. The strategy worked--I was able to walk away from cookies!

Okay, so Monday for me was good all day but not so good at supper time. Not enough water and I have not started recording points yet. So put me down for a big fat Zero for Monday.

I'm tracking what I eat and staying withing a calorie average for the week, but if a day is at or under my target, I'll report it. :D So, today, I tracked everything and was slightly (like 35 calories) under my calorie target.

I made a big pot of vegetable soup yesterday just filled with all kind of veggies - I did add some beef to it because we like the flavor it adds, but I'm watching portions very carefully now. And I tossed in some healthy barley with it all too! YUM!

Plus, I put away in the freezer 4 meals worth of soup which I just love to do because it saves me cooking on those nights when I just don't want to cook - which isn't often (I love to cook) -

Made a pan of brownies for dh and ds but I was good - I didn't cave to the brownies!

Good for you Jaymee! Dh brought me a Venti Caramel Frappucino from Starbucks, VENTI!! Hello it's like 15 points! I though it was sweet of him, but I only drank about a third of it, then gave the rest to my kiddos.

I got my water in too, but didn't keep up on my calorie tracking. It was just one of those days!! My eating was under control, so I'm sure I'm fine, but I REALLY need to WRITE it down.

How do you all track your calories? (Those that aren't doing points?) I've been using myfitnesspal (free online and apps). It seems to have an extensive food list.

I have two waters down so far. I usually get 2-3 in during my morning work out!
