I fell off the Healthy Habit wagon last week in a big way. I guess between Valentine's Day and PT conference marathon, I just lost focus. I'm back on track today. One day at a time.

I haven't checked in here for a few days. I am doing much better with logging all my food. I had a big crisis last night (well at the time it seemed big). I realized I was wanting to eat for emotional reasons and it was driving me bonkers. I did not want to give in to the urge to eat to feel more relaxed. So I shot off an email to my buddy and she talked me through it. I do not need to eat because I feel tired, anxious, bored, lonely, angry or any other emotion. I need to eat when my body needs nourishment. Well, after talking it through with my buddy and scrubbing the bathroom to distract myself, I was feeling quite a bit better, was able to work out and go to bed without snacking. So I think that was a major breakthrough in my journey on developing healthier habits.

Everyone is doing great. Just coming here to post about what you're doing is making you do better, I bet. Keep it up.

Wow! Good for you! What a huge moment of clarity, and a great problem solving strategy to share with a friend! I'm really proud of you.

We all have those moments of temptation, for whatever reason. I've found that it's good to focus on that those moments are just that--moments. If you can power through them by distracting yourself, they often pass without contributing to a growing dress size. (I often have to escape to the bathtub with a full pot of tea--an indulgence I can afford, although it can be awkward at staff meetings. LOL!)

I know next time I'm faced with one of those moments, I'll be thinking of you and willing myself to success with your example. Thanks for sharing!

Today was easy for me to track what I ate--not very much! The fasting blood draw disaster left me queezy all day. Not much food to track, but did work with the water.

Hoping for a healthier day tomorrow.

I wonder why some days are easier than others... today, Wednesday, was an easy day. Love those. I stayed under my calorie goal and got in 112 ounces of water. :)

I tracked successfully today, but had to right down "Nutella to Go." Never again. Yuck on so many levels!

I owe everyone a HUGE apology :sorry: ...my in laws were in town from Jan 25-Feb 22. I thought I would have plenty of tme to stay on top of the chart, but obviously I did not. It's not even that we were super busy, it is just having 7 people in a 3 bedroom apt for a month just threw me out of whack. I hate to admit it, but dh was right when he suggested that we wait until they were gone to start our diet. Too much snacking and eating out, plus throw in a couple of birthdays and I am sure you get the picture.

I will catch the chart up later this morning. Dh and I are going to take this weekend to clean out all the junk his parents left and start fresh on Monday.

I have been really bad about checking in here...but I can say since the challenge has started I have sucessfully stayed within my calories and drank water every day. I really like MFP for logging this type of activity, it makes it so easy
