Wednesday...wow...got all my water in and LOGGED all my calories and activity. I hit my target calories for the day, which is a struggle most days. I feel like I spent the whole day eating....LOL

Conda, I know what you mean, I feel like I spend the majority of the day planning what to eat, eating or journaling what I ate!!!

2/8/12, Wednesday: I drank my 8 glasses of water

I'm still working on today, but I realized I forgot to post yesterday.

View Postmbc72, on 08 February 2012 - 01:10 PM, said:

I read a tip on drinking water: in the morning put 8 rubber bands around your wrist, every time you finish a cup of water take one off. I have heard a tip to put the rubber bands around a refillable water bottle instead of your wrist, and take one off every time you finish a bottle.

I love the rubber band idea!

I haven't exercised yet this week so I feel bad because I signed up for the shred thread. I intend to, but I need to get it done in the morning because by afternoon I'm dragging. I think my exercise goal for this week will be twice and then next week three times and then four times the following week and then... you get the idea until I get to 6 days a week, but that will be something I track on the shred thread. I hope they are ok with that, but I think they will be.

I didn't do a great job officially counting, but I'm pretty sure I drank all 8 glasses of water today.

Wendee, of course that will be fine. This is a time to be gentle with yourself. Actually, it sounds like a very good plan.

The proof is in the pudding! Just goes to show one how getting too far off one's diet can send one's system flying! Yesterday, after my dental appointment we decided to go to our favorite little pub and of all things, fried chicken was their special of the day - can't tell you how long it's been since I've had any fried chicken! Well, we decided to share the special and all last night we were both really feeling our mistake. It wasn't particularly good, it was ok - but it made me feel awful. All that fried food! Never again!

Conda- good for you
Wendee- I havn't excersiced much this week either only once so far. I have been really busy with just life and can't get the time to go.
So don't worry and just take it one day at a time.

As for me. I'm really bad at the water drinking I drank about 4 yesterday. I'm trying to drink 1 litre a day but I'ts going slow. I even added sliced lemon to make it better but I am just not thirsty. So I now have decided to drink water with my meals. Last night I put out a jug of ice cold water with dinner and that helped. Even the kids drank it!!

I forgot to check in Wednesday - and didn't get yesterday's added up until this morning.
I went over my calorie target both Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday I still had a substantial calorie deficit because I worked out for over two hours total. Yesterday I still had a decent calorie deficit, but not as much as I like to have.
At least I tracked it all!

I think "the more I drink...the thirstier I get"... but seriously, some days it seems all I get done is drinking and running to the bathroom.........

Do you like cucumber? If so, put a few slices in your water...it's a nice refreshing change!

Honestly, it took me two days to recover from the darned fried chicken! It dragged me down until yesterday afternoon. I drank waaaay more than my 8 glasses of water yesterday because I was #1 thirsty and #2 was trying to get that chicken out of my system! It helped! I will never eat their fried chicken again. I so rarely eat anything that's fried and never fry anything at home. I had no idea what it would do to me.

We had healthy homemade soup again last night - dh had a sandwich to go with his but I'm trying to stay away from the bread, so I didn't. All the veggies in my soup really fill me up and I like "dieting" using soup as a tool. I like to make it and I like eating it!

Conda, I love the idea of a cucumber slice in my water - great idea! I've been putting a slice of lemon in mine and even an orange slice.

I know what's been said about drinking very cold water, but really, it's the only way I can consume 8 glasses a day. That was mentioned on the Shred Thread some time ago - I've forgotten why it isn't good, but I do remember someone saying it's better to drink it room temp - maybe because cold would shock one's system?

However, these now 4 lbs. that I gained have left me feeling very, very fat! I notice it in my clothes and that really bugs me!

It was a baaad weekend. I went to a parade with the kids Saturday and while I got my walk in, I didn't make greatfood choices, and didn't track at all. Today we went to Chili's and I had fajitas, but tonight will be shrimp and salad, so not horrible. I was down a couple of pounds Friday, but Mondays are my weigh days, so hopefully I will still bedown in the morning.

Okay- I'm a bad checker-inner. Friday I was at my target for caloires and above it for activity. I could have done better yesterday, but I'm still eating less than I'm consuming. I did really well today, so this week is off to a great start. :dancingelephant:
