Hello Everyone!

Just had a link given to me by a good friend regarding some Nikon equipment stolen from the NPS Roadshow in Dublin, Eire last weekend.

The link lists the equipment and serial numbers of the missing items and a PDF is downloadable with further details.

I post this just in case anyone is offered any top end Nikon equipment at what might seem silly prices, or finds anything on ebay!

Nikon NPS Dublin stolen equipment

Thanks

What a shame! Thanks for sharing the info. Hope it all turns up soon. Good idea to make sure all our equipment is catalogued, just in case.

Not planning to buy any Nikon equipment but it's a good idea to get the network looking ... you never know someone might come across it.

Thanks for sharing this information, Dave. I have two Nikon cameras but I sure didn't get any "best" offers when I bought them! LOL And I've had them a couple years!

Anyone know what to do with older film Nikon's? I have one that has everything possible to come with a good camera and don't know what to do with it! It has been much loved and was a great camera when I was taking film pics!

Sara - with the old film Nikon's I would keep them unless you desperately need to get rid. As far as I know the only film Nikon's fetching any money are the old F5's and F6's.

Its unlikely you would see a favourable return on old film equipment in this day and age. The domestic second hand market over here is flooded with old film stuff and as such prices are not very good across all manufacturers!

Thanks, Dave - oh, the wonderful pics I took with it! I got it when we were stationed overseas and had a ball with it! It's just collecting dust - maybe the high school? Nah, I'm sure they are all digital in photography class - well, maybe someday it will be a relic and an antique and be worth something!

Oh my goodness how frustrating and disgusting --- I sure would be shocked if it doesn't end up on Ebay or such! Thank you for sharing this information Dave - hopefully they will get their equipment back AND the thieves will be prosecuted!
