Somehow I once put the actions I use for photographs into a 'set', and even have some of the shadow actions in a set. Now I can't figure how to get past creating a new set. I can't put any actions into the set once I create it. Is there a limit on the number of sets you can have? Does anyone know how to move an action into the set?
TIA,
candyK--who needs to get some sleep!

I followed very detailed instuction in a thread here quite a while ago and made a mess of it. Now I just put a number in front of my style names and it sorts it that way.

Belle, that is a fabulous idea!

Actions are tricky little things...I'm sure one of our more experienced folks can explain what's going on.

So do you have it with consecutive numbers OR more like all the #1 are shadows, and then it sorts by the product? I'm afraid to try until I understand better. Thanks!

1 would be shadows, 2 for glitters, 3 linens and material and so on. All the ones would be grouped together, all the twos and so on. I still keep the names of the style exact, just put a number in front. There is a way but it is too much for my little brain.

For PSE, I rename each style to start with a 'classification', like 'Glitter_<file name>'. Like Belle's system, then all of the styles for the same classification show up together. I use my shadow styles so much, that I've added a number 1 before the "Shadow" so that they are at the top of the list.

Although I have it, I haven't pursued putting them together with CS4, but I think you can do it just like for Brushes using the Preset Manager; making a folder for each 'classification' and putting all applicable styles in it.
