OK, I've been a bad girl. I have had my new Mac and PSE 9 for about 10 months now - - and I just now did my first catalog back-up.

My question is:

When I looked at the back-up on my external hard drive, it showed a list of items like B0000001.xmp, etc. When I single-clicked on it, the picture did not show up in preview. Is it supposed to? I thought it showed thumbnails of the pictures in the back-ups I did on my PC.

Just wanted to check. Don't want to think I have a good back-up - - and then find out - NOT!
