I need a little sanity check, please. I've just installed PSE 10 on my Mac, and have managed to transfer all my styles successfully. So I'm ready to install all those lovely actions I bought. I found clear directions in the downloadable "CD" from The Missing Manual by Barbara Brundage. I checked all the actions to be sure they have the double files - one .atn and one PNG thumbnail. But a few have additional files - brushes and patterns. I finally located the file where patterns are stashed on my Mac - quite a hunt. But I'm not sure whether I should put the actions' brushes in my brush files, and the patterns in the pattern files, or keep them with the other action files when I install them. Any advice is welcome! Meanwhile, I'll work on shapes - they're supposed to be easy!

Put the patterns where all the other pattern files are, and the brushes where all the other brushes are. If you put them in the actions folder, PSE won't recognize them.
