It looks like it is from the 1940's. :)

DH thinks it's a 46 Ford. It's definitely a post-war Ford.

It looks a lot like a 1949 Chevrolet Deluxe Fastback too

We rode in a car like that in the early 50's, but it wouldn't have been new at the time. We stood on the "bump" in the back to look through the front window, and held on to the fabric car straps as we stood in the large leg/foot space area. The floor space was so big that my brother and I used to lie down on each side and fall asleep on the floor. Pre-seat belt days!

Great picture of a beautiful house! I look forward to the verdict on the car and date, and to a layout!

No idea on the date (looks like other have helped in that department). I just want to say that I'd love to live in that cute house. It's so nice and well cared for. I love the yard. Lovely.

I was going to show it to my hubby because he's pretty good at dating cars, but it looks like that's been covered. That is a darling house.

DH added that it could have been a Chevy also - they had very similar body lines.

My brother guessed late 40's on the car, the house was built in 1947 (http://www.trulia.co...023/Devon_Road/). Judging from the size of the birch tree, it's a few years later in the photo.

Bobbie; my brother the car nut looks around for me & thinks it is a 1948 Pontiac silver streak. I'll let you know if he finds out any more. I googled that make & the images that come up look pretty good.
