I volunteered to make the sign in book for my cousin's wedding. She gave me "total creative control" and told me I could do it however I wanted. She sent me photos, but no details and with the wedding plans and all, I don't want to bug her for them right now; I figure I can always add them later if she wants (love digital!) So, if you have a minute, could you take a look at what I have done so far and give me your opinion? So far I think I am liking how it is turning out, but more eyes are always good, especially the creative eyes here on SG!

These are stunning!
The only suggestion I have is to put lines on the pages, both for vertical spacing and to help the guests line up their signatures easier.

The book is wonderful!! I love it! Ditto what Gayle said. The lines could be a lighter shade of the background paper as opposed to a darker shade. It might add to the elegance and not be a distraction. Your cousin is going to LOVE this guest book!

The book is lovely, and very inspiring! I like the idea of lines, but what if...

1. You use labeled journaling tags to make "spaces" for sign-ins with addresses/emails, etc.
2. You use journaling tags to create spaces for guests to write a note of well-wishes to the couple as well as their names. Or maybe you put 4x6 "journaling cards" on the tables for stories and wishes?

For some reason, your wonderful album triggered the ideas today!

Thanks for the great suggestions! I have one more layout and some tweaking to do, then I'll send it off to the printers.

The album is just gorgeous. Congratulations on such a lovely work of art. What a lovely keepsake for them. I can imagine how excited your are to have it come back from the printers. :)

That's QUITE a book you've put together! Love the diversity - yet it all goes together. How many pages will the book be in total? Is it going to be a bound book or a slide-in-the-pages book? Just wondered.

I agree that lines (or tags or something) would be helpful to make sure that there's some uniformity to how people sign in.

I don't remember seeing the day/date of the wedding anywhere (but maybe I missed it). You could scan in the wedding invitation and maybe sneak it in somewhere on a LO. Just a thought.

I like Barbara's idea of using loose cards (4x6 or similar) to let people take a card and write a note on it, then you could include a pocket to tuck those cards in the back. (Unless it's a BIG wedding, in which case maybe you can do a hybrid craft box to hold them in - so many cute box shapes could be covered with digital papers.)

Congrats on such a beautiful contribution to the wedding day!

I love it. It's a great combination of classy and fun. It seems like something the couple will go back to often because of all of the fun photos.

I have to say I sort of like is without the lines. It might encourage people to write a short statement for the couple instead of just signing their names. If you put down a couple example signatures they would get the idea. But you'd have to have it somewhere where people had a bit more time to contribute to it.
