Saving8.5 For Web

I'm just getting used to this scrapping size and am very disappointed when I save a layout for the web to share with someone, because they are teeny tiny!

Here are the steps I am using:

Image>image resize> change to 72ppi

File>Save for web and devices>high quality>save

I'm using CS4, windows 7. Does anyone have a different procedure that results in a little larger final image?

THanks in advance!

I don't use the "save for web" option. First, I save as a jpeg and then open that image. When you change the image size change the resolution to 72, then change the image pixel width to 600 (or which ever side is longer if it is a rectangle). Then "Save As" - I add _600 or _72 to the file name so I know it is the web resolution image. After you click okay, there is a JPEG Options box that comes up where you can choose how much to compress your image. Keep it at 10 -12 for a higher quality image. Hope that makes sense.
