Help
If you have a moment to say a prayer for my niece's fiancee Dana. Dana is a town officer and last night when he was patrolling he saw a man staggering down the street. When he stopped to check on him the guy came running up to his cruiser and tried to get in the passenger door. He was out of control, yelling and swearing at Dana and told him he had just been assaulted at one of the local bars. When Dana got out of the car the guy punched him in the face, Dana was able to get the guy handcuffed and proceeded to put him in the cruiser, when he leaned down to shut the door the guy head-butted him and kicked out the window on the other side of the cruiser. The guy was not only drunk but very high, Dana suffered a concussion and some facial lacerations, thank God he was not hurt worse.

How sad. It definitely sounds like the guy who assaulted him was out of control. I hope Dana heals up fairly soon.

This is not nice news to read. Praying for Dana's healing and also praying for the man as he must have problems in his life.

Drugs and alcohol... stupid mix. And to assault the one person who tries to help you? Outrageous. I hope the man recovers enough to apologise and Dana recovers quickly and confidently.

I will certainly be praying for a quick recovery for Dana, Sherry - the issues that drugs and alcohol can cause can be downright dangerous for our officers.

In the military, at least you know when you're being deployed to a combat zone. Our police take their lives in their hands every time they go on duty. I have oceans of respect for them.
