I'm thinking about purchasing the Canon Pixma Pro9000 unit as it's considerably less expensive and almost identical to the Pro9000 Mark II, and am wondering if any of our scrapgirls out there have used either printer. I'm so tired of forking over $$$$ to HP for ink cartridges, and I've read several reports that Pixma users are happy with the Canon ink output. I'm sure not happy with my HP cartridge output. I should have invested in HP stock the way I go through ink. Thanks, I appreciate your input!

Hi Annie, long time no see. Sorry I can't help you. I use a Pixma all in one but not either of those models. I use Epson. I've sure seen a lot about the newer Pixma printers, but no first-hand experience. Hope you get some good advice.

Hey Sandi, good to hear from you. I have been considering Epson, too. Which model do you have and are you satisfied with the output quality and the ink supply? HP ink is costing me a bunch, and Ro said her Pixma ip4500 is great on ink usage and has a beautiful output. I'm willing to change brands but want to be sure that what I buy is what I need.

I use an Epson too, but mine (and R1800) is 6 1/2 years old so it is no longer being sold. I absolutely love the prints. I only use it for color printing and use a laser printer for everything else. When I print big stacks of 12x12 pages, I end up changing a few of the ink cartridges, but overall, I don't feel like it uses tons of ink.

Thanks for the reply, April. I wasn't impressed with the reviews about the Epson Workforce series.....they tended to feel the output was ok for text printing but below par for photos. But some of our Scrapgirls have raved about their Epsons, maybe they own a different series or perhaps the older models like yours were the better models. I'd consider an Epson IF it meets my specs.
