A Nice Surprise....

You all know about our case that was lost. We put a claim in for the goods that were lost and it was paid out. R5400. The airport then found our case and we returned the money. The insurance people were very pleased about it and said in an e-mail that it's not often that people are honest these days.
We just could not even consider keeping the money even though there was no way they could know about the case being found.
Today there was a knock on the door. It was a messenger from Auto and General the insurance people. They delivered a parcel for us. They gave us two photo albums and a photo frame. I think it was very nice of them and just proves that honesty does pay.
The only thing I'm sad about is my purple camera that was on order that I had to cancel. But who knows, one day.....

That was really sweet! So many times you tell a company what's up and it seems like whatever you say just goes into a black hole. Its nice to hear that a human being was listening and thought to send you such a kind thank you! I love those stories!

I love a story with a happy ending. The honesty lesson is a great one, but mostly I'm just thrilled you got your camera and photos back. I remember how much that hurt you. And you have it back. Just made my day.

LOVED reading this Belle and agree with all the above. Sure made my day, though to see that your honesty was acknowledged and appreciated. Me too - I get a good feeling inside me when "doing the right thing" , but to be noticed feels good.
I am so happy that your story had a few happy endings! And, maybe that purple camera will show up someday in the future as a birthday surprise or something!

Rejoicing with your Belle and good to hear the honesty part of your story. The old saying "honesty is the best policy" is a true one.

How refreshing! Your honesty was a given, but the insurance company's response is something I've never heard of. You bring out the best in other's - even corporations.
