I want to use a transparent shape on a (hybrid) card layout but I need a stroke so I can see where to cut it out! I have it moved off the main part of the layout so it's on the transparent part but when I reduce the opacity, I lose the stroke too. Grrr. I thought there should be a way to select, delete, stroke etc but maybe my brain is too fried roght now. any suggestions awfully welcome ;)

Hi Dianne, I'm not exactly sure what it is you are trying to do (sorry, I think my brain is fried right now lol). I don't know if this will be any help, but did you try putting the stroke on it's own layer?

I agree with Theresa. A separate layer, with perhaps a very light color like gray.

To put a stroke on a separate layer, create a new layer above the layer to which you want to add the stroke. Make sure the new layer is the active layer. Hold your Ctrl key down and click the thumbnail of the layer below. Marching ants will appear around the element. Now Edit>Stroke and enter your parameters and OK. The stroke is now on your new layer only. You may want to lock the layers together.
