I loved Ang's article today detailing her foray into the world of 5Ks and running! Her enthusiasm and joyful spirit are contagious, I think.

She's helping me feel a bit more courageous about taking up backpacking at age 52! :thanks:

Kerry I agree 100%, last year at age 56 I ran my first 5k in over 20 years --- thanks Ang for sharing your story and your inspiration! :clap:

Thanks so much Kerry and everyone. It has been a really empowering experience. I have a long journey ahead of me still, but I'm learning to celebrate my successes along the way and pick myself back up when I have times of struggle. If anyone is interested in following my weight loss journey you can always check out my blog at http://droppingtheplus.blogspot.com/. I try to update it every few days (but hectic life has gotten in the way for a couple weeks. Time to get back at it!! The accountability is very helpful!)

It is a reminder that we don't need to wait until the end to celebrate the progress we have made. Be encouraged as you continue in caring for yourself and being such an amazing role model to your children. Kerry, I look forward to seeing some layouts on your backpacking adventures.
