First Ever Digital Scrapbooking Pages

I've finally managed to find some time to start a digital scrapbooking album of my son. I started 'collecting' wonderful supplies from Scrapgirls about 2 years ago and have eventually got round to using them! The album is to capture just some of the hundreds of photos we've taken of our beautiful son since he was born (he's now 2.5 yrs - boy does a baby/toddler take up sooo much time). These are the first two pages of the album, taken on the night he was born. I've never scrapbooked before so I was wondering if anyone had any comments and suggestions for improvement.....

Thank you everyone for your wonderful replies, they have given me lots of confidence to continue with the album. These two pages took me ages to create - I kept changing the embellishments and the arrangements for ages until I was happy with it. I guess with time and practice I will become quicker at knowing what works. And no, I've never scrapbooked before - but I have spent the last two years flicking through the Scrapgirls website in any spare moments I could find and I have done a few of Ro's beginners tutorials. Lets hope it doesn't take me another two years to complete the album!

Seriously, these are your first layouts? You've gotta be kidding me. You're a NATURAL! They are beautiful! (I, however, won't be sharing MY first LOs anytime soon!) And congrats on spending 2.5 years with that adorable son. You've got lots of good stuff to digitally scrap now!
