I am trying to follow along with Ro's Secrets for Photoshop and am at the point where she attaches a paper clip and wraps ribbon around a frame. I have a question about the ribbon. I found some on the Countryside Biggie that I have but it is on a png file with multiple objects on it. When I try to move the ribbon, I move everything on the page with it. Is there a way to select individual embellishments and move only them? Thanks.

Hi, I hope I can answer your question correctly. I will try!
I think you are looking at the PNG file which is all attached together. Go to the folder where those are and you will see a PSD file named the same as the one you have open. Open the PSD file and all the layers will be separated for you. Just so you know, everything in those pre-made layouts is available in the embellishments folder. Sometimes I have to view those pictures bigger to be able to see everything good...LOL or wear my glasses.
Just a tip......You might use a different operating system, I use Windows 7 so I just right click my mouse while in the open folder and choose view>extra large icons. I sure helps me find things better.
I hope this helps! Hang in there.

I am still confused. The folder is BMU_Countryside_Emb2 and when I open it, all that is inside are three png files with multiple objects on them. When I downloaded this, it was my first day and it is possible that I didn't download everything I was supposed to or that it didn't end up where it was supposed to? I work in Mac OSX but I don't really know what I am doing, I am afraid. I got the Countryside Biggie because I joined the ScrapGirl's club; can I try to re-download?

It sounds like you have the overview sheets - is there a Emb1? Try looking there.

That folder had only the sheets of embellishments in it. If you look in the Emb1 folder, then you'll see all the same items, but each is a separate PNG. You can just drag it over to Photoshop from the file window. Or if you prefer, you can open the whole sheet in Photoshop, use the lasso tool to select what you want from the whole sheet and then use the move tool to drag it to your layout.
Hope that helps!

That's where they were! Thanks so much!!! (and thanks for the tip about the lasso tool - I was wondering if there was some way to separate them). This site is so great.

Thanks for the lasso tip. I am still new, always learning something new. I wish I would have started when I first joined but now everytime I see tips, etc...I write down all these notes in a notebook because there is so much to learn and it's hard to take it all in and remember everything.
I scrap with PSE11
