Satuday done - bike ride and I tried so hard to keep up with Insanity (on tv) but...................my ankle just wouldn't cooperate with some of the things they did! But......I tried!

Good for you! I think I would be taking breaks, etc if I do Insanity too...and I know lots have to modify due to injuries, bad knees, etc. I've heard there is lots of plyometrics/jumping which just isn't possible with old injuries.

I was a good girl yesterday - I got home from a local scrapbooking crop and turned on P90X Legs and Back - I did about 3/4 of the workout, finishing up around 11:45pm, lol.

Still missing my buttons on the chart for Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday...and I was moving half the day on all of them! Going out for a nice, easy dog walk in a bit. Lucky for us, it's not too hot.

That's awesome! If I don't exercise first thing in the morning, it just doesn't get done! I don't know how you do it!

Yes, there was a lot of jumping and other things in Insanity I just couldn't do. The one I gave up on was in push up position with arms up and feet spread and then "jumping your legs back straight" - waaaaaaay hard on the ankle. I did give up then! LOL

40 minute walk for me for Friday--I walked to Walmart instead of taking the car. This strategy seems to be working pretty well for me, both in terms of exercise and pain management. Whenever I start feeling sorry for myself about my back, I think about how my injury could just have easily made walking difficult. I am blessed with healthy legs, and using them will make me better. All of my physical problems have the same solution---WALK! Nothing like a clear message from the universe to get off the couch. Lucky me!

Did Monday and Tuesday --- combination walk/run, but have been slacking --- well not really BUT haven't done any official exercise BUT I will get it all made up!

I am having the same challenges with Insanity, Sara. I have issues with my knees so I am not jumping that high and I can't even do I full push up even with my legs crossed instead of straight out. But this will only be my 3rd day so I will hopefully see lots of improvement over time. Off to do it now....oh boy:)

Good plan!!

Whenever I can, I like to walk to & from Target or the grocery store. Get the shopping & exercise done at the same time... plus it prevents over-spending and splurge purchases, because I have to carry everything home again!

It was so much cooler today/tonight that we decided to go on a family bike ride on the High Trestle Trail and bridge for an evening ride. About 11 miles, and we saw a deer on the way back to the van too!

The good news for Saturday is that I got out for a twenty minute walk. The bad news is that was pretty much the only movement all day! I'm using my Ninetendo DS Personal Trainer pedometer--kind of fun feedback! My step goal for the day was WAY under target!

Today (Sunday) we walked up to the football field for the boys to get some work in. I kept walking straight into town to pick up Subway sandwiches, so we had a nice picnic lunch after our workouts. I walked just over 10K in 2 hours, so I think that will cover my lazy Saturday!

Thank you gals for all of your great encouragement. It really means the world to me. Every minute holds a choice, and you all are helping me make the most of them. :thankyou:
