I'm praying for Zoey and for you all ... and for the birthfather to realize that he needs to release her for HER own good.
Our son is adopted, though not thru foster care. However, we have had quite a run of challenges due to birth-related issues which I won't go into now. But, even tho Zoey's drug-influenced issues seem to have cleared up (thank the Lord!), do you have access to something like Early Childhood Intervention (that's what we have here in Texas) for ages 0-3? It was a fabulous program during my son's preschool years that provided occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, developmental therapy, etc. It really helped me feel confident that we were keeping tabs on everything in those early years and not missing any tiny markers for future problems.
Love and hugs - and prayers!

I will check into this--early childhood intervention because I want to help her stay on task for growth.

Just an update, the GAL told me that she is requesting that the court not move Zoey from our home. The dad is going to get out of jail on the 19th and he will get supervised visits and that is about it for now. The bio mom is not able to take care of Zoey. So, we are thrilled to be able to continue to take care of her. We all love her. And I can't say thank you enough for your prayers because they were intending to move her to Nevada to another relative but, they changed their minds about that. Thank you!!!!!!!
