Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help. I've all but finished the attached layout. I'm really pleased with all of it EXCEPT the text. I love what the text says but can't help feeling that as it is, it doesn't quite finish the layout off properly. Unfortunately I'm all out of inspiration and can't for the life of me get it 'right'! Do any of you lovely people have some fabulous ideas you'd care to share with me?

It's a sweet layout - how about adding a little journaling to it?

This is such a sweet layout! I love the colors. I don't think it looks unfinished. I like the simple uncluttered look. I like the simplicity, and it doesn't need anything else (except for the journaling. Sara is right on!). But I do think it looks a bit unbalanced, and I think that's what's throwing your off.

Move your title and the circles to the other side, and make your title a bit bigger. If you're unhappy with the text, try spelling it with a coordinating alpha. And then add some journaling. Something like this:

What do you think?

I think it's a beautiful layout and I agree with Sara and Elisha - just move the title and circle embellishments and add a little journaling.

Elisha is soooo creative! LOVE her ideas! You know, it's very hard for me to make a simple layout as you have and I think you've done an awesome job with that! I couldn't agree with Elisha more!

Elisha that's perfect - thank you so so much (and also to everyone else for their comments). This is the first set of digital layouts that I've created (I'm trying to make an album of all the photos we've taken of my son since he was born - he's now 2 and a half!) and I've not used any journalling yet. I'm not a greater writer, nor really one for sharing my feelings, however the aim of doing this album was to learn new skills, so I shall give it a go!
Thank you for all your help.

Well I'm getting in late here but I love your layout and it's gone into my scrap lift file. Love the colors and just everything about it. Well done.

Better late than never - the journaling doesn't have to be deathless prose - just a few facts, like when and where. You could add a few words about a memory of the day, how you felt, or how many people came, is this a first grandchild, who was there to welcome the baby, who got called first with the news? I've also seen a few layouts with a mini letter to the baby, like this is your first picture, we were so happy to meet you, etc.
