Help
! the Dr. noticed a "click" in Ava's left hip. He ordered an ultrasound ASAP, which we had today. Now we are waiting for the results which can take a couple days. The possibility that she has hip dysplasia is a concern ( common in infants, esp in first born girls) , of course I am so worried but I am trying to stay positive. Thank you for all of you prayers and positive wishes, I know they will help.

While we were at the Pediatrician yesterday for a weight checkup (she gained 11 oz in 10 days ! the Dr. noticed a "click" in Ava's left hip. He ordered an ultrasound ASAP, which we had today. Now we are waiting for the results which can take a couple days. Have my fingers crossed for you and Ava, Shannon! I know it doesn't directly affect you but my cousin had this 34 years ago and she has played lots of sport and is fine... and modern medicine has come so far... keeping fingers and toes crossed for you all xxx

Lord God, please keep your hand in this situation that is so worrying. We know that you care and don't want us to be afraid. But it's hard now to worry, especially when it comes to our children!

Praying for Ava and especially for Mom! Its not easy being the Mommy!!!! I remember going through this with my daughter. It turned out she was fine, but I remember them telling me it was not a big problem if she had it, and that everything would be fine. I was still worried and upset though! Hang in there and I'll be thinking of you!

Thank you everyone! We heard back just a bit ago and he said her hip is "slightly lax" so he spoke to a pediatric orthopedic DR and she recommended us "double diapering" which we are going to go and learn how to do tomorrow an repeating the ultrasound in 3 weeks then 3 more weeks ! Hopefully this will make the slight problem go a way! I so appreciatate everyone's positive prayers and thoughts, ScrapGirls are the BEST!!!
