Praise... A Job Interview at my local credit union! UPDATED #17 & 29

After consulting with my financial advisor this spring, we figured I should go back to work a few years to get some funds saved for retirement. Not much employment is out there for M-F and Sundays off, so I tried lots of banks. I was a teller for 2 & half years, besides 5 year front desk insurance office, including being an agent for 3 years. Lots of experience, but will they even "look" at an old grandma like me?

I was pleasantly surprised to see them training a new teller about my age so I went home and applied for one of the positions. I have several branches to choose from and all are close enough. One is so close, I wouldn't need to get on the highway! Posted Image

Today they called to schedule an interview and testing!! Oh neat!

I do hope they can give me time off for our grandkids' weddings and our paid for vacation! Appreciate your prayers for those matters!

Update:
The interview and testing went very well. I saw her surprised look when she said I only missed THREE out of the half hour of money counting, data entry tests.

Then she proceeded to tell me which positions were still available and moved on to the next portion: Credit check (which was wonderful last month when we refinanced the house).

Next step will be arranging interviews with the branches where I have interest in working. I will keep checking other local credit unions and savings banks. (I am NOT interested in working for BIG BANKS ever again.)

CALLED by one of the branches for an interview. This position is part time... oh, well. I left it in God's hands. We will see what happens Thurs morning.

I think the interview went very well. Great camaraderie between manager, supervisor and myself. They made positive comments that made me think I should be listening for the phone from Human Resources after a week or so of their checking my squeaky clean background.

Training could start very soon, if I am hired, Although Part time, its lots of hours 29 / wk normally. That should work,
