Just got an email notification about the new Mountain Lion upgrade. Its only $19.99 and the video does show improvements on moving seamlessly between iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and Mac computers. Seems like the messaging and iCloud are the best features. Also, the new MacBook Pro with retina display looks fantastic, but that will have to wait awhile. I'm going to check into Mountain Lion though. If you hear anything or try it, would surely appreciate any feedback on it.

I'll be anxious to hear what you think about Mountain Lion, Sandi. At least this upgrade, I can afford! And from what I've read so far, I definitely plan on upgrading to ML.

I have been waiting to hear your impressions of Mt. Lion...I'm ready to upgrade just to get the iPad/iMac cloud connection. What's the verdict??

Sandi I have Mountain Lion, got it when I got my new imac a few months ago...took some getting used to, but now that I am, I love it.


downloading files is very interesting, it kinda...zooops up into the corner and no actual download box comes up unless you click on the teeny little box in the top right corner.

the thing I don't like about ML is that it won't read my externals that are both PC/Mac compatible. I used to be able to access files that had last been used on a PC but now I can't, have to go to dh's mac that still has Snow Leopard on it... then I access my files but...dh wants to upgrade all the mac's to ML sooooo will be interesting to see what that does to our network. kids are still PC'd altho Jess is about to go Mac

Ann, I ran into a little glitch while installing Mountain Lion - I just had a new hard drive put in my laptop and the guys changed one of the security settings and it won't let me continue the install. I'm waiting for my tech to call me back and tell me how to turn off the setting he changed.

Sorry - I should have posted that here yesterday but I was on call and gone most of the day.......I'll call my tech this afternoon if I don't hear something from him this morning.

Jo - what you said about the OS not reading the PC EHD is something I've been living in fear of! I'm on Lion now, and I have one EHD that works intermittently (because it is formatted for both PC & MAC). I'm nervous that it will totally stop reading if I go to Mountain Lion. Apple Care is great, but I'd just as soon not have any problems!

In any event, I will probably upgrade to Mountain Lion soon - I just haven't been motivated to invest the time yet!

Just talked to my tech and got my security issue worked out. Mountain Lion is now downloaded completely and installed! Woo-Hoo! I think I'm in love!

The installation was super easy although it seemed to take quite a long time to download - more than usual. But I'm loving it so far! I love the way my new mail pops up on the right hand side of my screen while I'm on SG - lots of new features that I like really.

I don't know what it is, but since I installed Mountain Lion my laptop just flies! Everything runs three times faster than it did before. LOVE it, so glad I did it!

Well, you have had several days to try it out...what's your opinion? I have just about decided that I need to do the upgrade so I have the flow between the iPad and the desk top. Any draw backs?

I have barely had time to get an occasional meal on the table...downloading upgrades is way down the to-do list. The next couple of weeks don't look promising either, but I'll get it done as soon as I can.Sorry I don't have any positive input.

Just installed yet another upgrade - 10.8.2 - and also installed IOS 5 which also upgraded my IPhone and my IPad. It took a little while, but wow! The IPhone and iPad have the same OS as the new IPhone 5 now and the new features are just awesome! I knew it was coming because when I had to do some account changing around stuff on my phone the other day the Verizon tech told me it would be coming and last night, voila! there it was!

I'm very happy with all of these new changes so far. Haven't heard from anyone else reference the upgrades?

Sandi, I think I've gotten 2 upgrades since I installed ML......

I LOVED all of the new upgrades to the IPhone and IPad - awesome!
