Hi Ladies!

I've finally given up trying to lose weight on my own...just not enough willpower to go it alone. I don't have all that much to lose, but I need the structure of a program like WW. I also love that it's an online program! I can do that! I really like the PointsPlus system. I'm a number person, so this works well for me. I love all the recipes available. It's nice to add some extra healthiness (is that a word?) to our family meals too. I've found that the best thing for me is all the WATER! It really curbs the appetite!

Just wanted to say hi in this thread. I'll pop in once in a while a give a progress report! Here's to having more room in my jeans!!!!! :D

Good for you, Debbie! WW works and I've been so lax in keeping up with my WW for the last year or so - good luck to you - I know you can do it! WW is such a good program!

Great decision to go with WW, Debbie. I believe that it is the best program there is for losing weight. Wishing you the best with your progress.

I'm not new to WW, but I'm back! It is really a great program - and I love doing it online. I lost 30 lbs 10 years ago and kept it off until last year, when I gained 20 of it back! I finally got disgusted with myself about a month ago. At 40 years old, I looked and felt better than I did when I was 30. Now that I'm 45 I can't say that about 35!

Since I started back, I've been pretty good about staying on points, but the weight's coming off a lot slower than it did 10 years ago when I was new at it! I suppose that's the difference between a 35 year old and a 45 year old. But I am determined to get this weight off again! Glad we can walk this together.

WTG Lena! I love the little tasks that show up each week on the WW Home page. They really do help me learn more about the WW philosophy and how to make it work for me. I had an up and down week with food last week. I've been struggling to get all my water in...hmmmmm. But despite it all, I managed to drop another pound! Very exciting! I'm adding some exercise this week which should help in LOTS of ways. Maybe I'll join the Shredders sometime soon...maybe.

Lena, I highly recommend being faithful to tracking Points. It helps to have that kind of accountability in black and white (or pixels at least).

I hope your first week goes well!

Yay, Lena!!!

I did a sneak peek weigh-in this morning (my normal weigh-in is Wednesday), and I have a hunch I might be down 5 lbs since I started. I am with the shredders, but I'm not doing anything major - just walking on the treadmill. My pants aren't quite as tight. It is exciting - and finding new ways to cook old favorites with lower points has been fun.

I love how flexible it is! I find it pretty easy to stay in my daily points most days, but then on nights when we go out, I can tap into the weekly allowance and still stay within points overall. And exercising earns extra points. I like to use the earned points to make up for the glass of wine I like to enjoy in the evenings. It's a good incentive to get on the treadmill every day.

The new point system doesn't even include calories in it's calculation - it uses fat, carbohydrates, fiber and protein. So you're encouraged to eat lean protein and foods low in carbohydrates and high fiber. It used to be that there was a lot of junky food out there that was low in points - that's not so true anymore.

Debbie - I have trouble getting my water in as well. And even with most fruit being zero points, I'm still having a hard time with that.
