I am so sorry and so sad to read this news, Belle. Rikus looks like an angel in the photo. Just the worst thing which could happen. I keep you and your families in my prayers at this very sad time.

I have been praying for your family and for the farm hand, along with Rikus periodically all day. I want to cry for all the pain that everyone must be experiencing. I hope that your family is able to forgive the employee, and that he is able to forgive himself someday. I am confident angels are with Rikus.

Praying for the life of this precious child and that all the poison be removed and the damage it has caused. Just read this in Isiah 65:23 They will not toil in vain or bear children doomed to misfortune; for they will be a people blessed by the Lord, they and their descendants with them. Before they call I will answer; while they are still speaking I will hear.

Oh, I am so sorry! I didn't read the prayer request right--i saw his picture and thought he was still alive--please forgive me, i haven't been able to sleep and was just reading and I think I'm too rummy. I will keep praying for the family that the Lord will trully lift them up. Just weeping for them...

I join the many other SG'ers who are standing with you and your family in this heart-breaking ordeal. I will be praying for you all, and especially for Rikus's parents and grandparents, that they will weather this tragedy and in time, be able to rebuild their lives. Losing a child tragically (or any way) is surely one of life's most difficult moments. Nothing will ever be the same, to be sure, but the loving hand of God can help them piece together their broken hearts and move forward ... in time.
