Ok, I have made brushes and saved them in the past. :D
Today I was trying to save a brush that is really big, in fact it is a page border.
I tried in both versions of PSE (6, 10) and neither of them would let me "define the brush".

They only would offer "define the pattern".

Any tips? Thank you!

Hi Amanda, what is the size of the brush you are trying to create? The maximum size you can create a brush at is 2500 px by 2500 px at 300 dpi. Does that help?

Once you do have the brush saved and loaded, you can stamp it onto a layer and go to Image>Transform>Free Transform (CTRL+T) and use the transformation handles to enlarge the image on the page.

Theresa's right, and Adobe doesn't give an error message when your size is too large, it just dims the option to define the brush.

I've heard the PS CS6 raised the limit to 5000 x 5000 pixels, but most of us are still back at 2500 x 2500, and will be for quite a while.

Aha! hee- I haven't tried to convert my page borders (3500x3500) to brushes till now, so yes, that is the problem and it makes sense. Well, as much sense as a machine/ program can make, ha. Thank you! Now, off to find a creative solution. :disappearing-smilie:
